Is the game worth it if you going to play few Characters, and mostly STD?

PoE these days is close to a sandbox game, where it's up to each player to find his own fun. If Standard is the best suit for you, go for it. But just remember; standard isn't the most popular game mode, and it might be barren from time to time, especially from a trading perspective.

My advise would be to start out in a league and just keep playing your character(s) when they get transferred to standard.

And, find yourself a guild.

Yeah it's exactly what i'm going to do.
I will probably play leagues in the future as well, when i want to try something new, but i usually play 2-3 hours per day, sometimes more, sometimes less in the weekends, so i don't have all the time in the world to keep starting from scratch.
Thanks for the reply.
2-3 hours per day as average is more than enough to fully develop characters in leagues. Once you are experienced though so yeah, I'd say eigher start in league and continue in Standard or even start in standard and enjoy yourself without any time constraints. The moment it gets too stale for you you can always decide to go for pure league play
I will definitely start in a league to get the most advantages of new economy and so, but it's not my thing to play new characters every few months or so. I prefer to play 2-3 characters, focus on them, and developing them entirely.
Also League feels to me, like i'm on a clock, and needs to be hurry up, which i don't like.
Nothing wrong with your approach. Play the way you enjoy the most.
Just as a fair warning:

You wont be able to lvl all your chars to 100 nor get BiS gear across the board anytime soon. If thats the main motivation behind you approach, you might want to reconsider.

Beating the hardest content there is might take you years as well.
PoE is a very different beast compared to other games out there.

Anyways: Enjoy the journey

I haven't played Standard much, but apart from a worse economy I don't see why it wouldn't be enjoyable. But as others have already said I suggest starting your first characters in a temporary League, because your characters and items will get transferred to the Standard League either way at the end of a temporary league.
Basically there's nothing to lose starting you first character in a temporary League.
I've been playing standard for about 5 years almost exclusively and yes it's very much worth it especially when you start out, i'd even say it's better. You aren't pressured by a time limit and can take your time exploring the game. There will come a point where you are familiar with everything and might get bored with it making leagues more attractive but it took 5 years for that to happen in my case.

Only real downside to standard is trade. Items are usually more expensive because nobody want's to do 5C trades. In terms of responsiveness it's not much different from league from my experience. You also aren't the only new player so if it's about low level gear, you can very much get that as well might just take a bit longer to find someone.

Yeah i prefer this type of game, where it takes quite a lot of time to get to a certain spot, gear, etc.
Especially compare to type of games where you get BIS in 2 weeks time, and then the game just feels shallow.

I definitely enjoy to take my time and enjoy the game fully. And the though that there is always going to be something to explore and to do, looks great to me.

Thanks again to all for the help and support.
The community definitely feel great.

BTW, this league going to end soon, so i should wait for the new to start, right ?

You still got more than a month to explore this league.
Thats plenty time to learn the basics and get your ass kicked multiple times ;)

First you´ll have to beat the campaign aka the tutorial anyways.
Veterans can do that in 10-12hrs, racers in 4hrs but for beginners it usually takes 50hrs+ because they tend to explore everything while veterans will skip everything that isnt mandatory.

If you were to play 2hrs a day then beating the campaign might keep you busy for 25 days - give or take.

POE 2 is designed primarily for console.
You should play crucible league if you want a bow, it is likely crucible will be either nerfed or not implemented in standard, and you can get mirror tier bows for standard in crucible at the cost of 5-10 div.

Definitely worth starting in crucible.
