Ever-Extending Evolution bug

I did 7 or so combines today. Fully filled line of 3 a few times and 4 the rest got downgrade and mutate show up in the little window pop up after watching it forge but no credit on challenge.

sadge i just wanted to do it today but i should probably wait if its bugged.

I've been cooking all day and i got skill downgrade 3 times in a row and neither of them counted. Still bugged =(

can confirm. have been working on this every day, stuck at 3/4 because downgrade just isn't happening.

U must have 5 crucible passives in line not 3-4.

Do you have a source for this? Ive done mutate and upgrade with 3-4 tier weps, why would it be different for downgrade

Why are you trying to correct people if you have no idea then..

Update to my experience, just completed the challenge (last one I had was the downgrade in tier).

Was able to complete with iLv 50-55 3-4 tier Royal Skeans. I did have multiple attempts where the UI said there was a tier downgrade, not entirely sure what was different with the attempt I got it on, took 2-3 downgrade procs for it to work. Definitely buggy, but HIGHLY suggest doing it with low ilvl weapons for speed.

The way I got the downgrade achievement: took a rune dagger with a depth 5 tree, fully allocated it, beast split it and combined it with itself in the crucible. Got it on the 3rd try.
