spell suppression is nowhere near mandatory.

you can stack max res, spell block, etc...

Bro shut up lest GGG nerfs max res and block next, making spell suppression mandatory before they go after that too!
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

Melee without totems.
Fortify for any character that is melee.
Defense Auras in general.
3D hitbox Weapon Reach instead of targeting.
Hold position key that actually works.

SS already got nerfed btw. When I say that players don't usually follow. So...

For players who still want spell dodge instead they can just select this.

Good luck with that now. This is one combo...
Max Spell Block, Spell Dodge, PB, Dissolution of Flesh. 96.25% Avg Spell Hit reduction.

GGG wanted Dodge dead when they added SS because it was strictly better high end.
I wouldn't worry much. They have complete control over the mitigation layer now.

I agree on the totem part it feels mandatory because totems can make up 50% of dps for a melee build.
If totems buff other totems its fine for that playstyle but i feel like melee numbers on damage effectivity/attack speed effectivity are balanced around the existance of totem buffs and personally i dislike that kind of gameplay. I does not feel melee nor does it feel fun to place them when playing melee.
