PLEASE.... Do something about map conversion in standard league. We are suffering.

I really fell sorry for you but you should know better.

PoE is not designed to be played in standard. It exists? Yes, but GGG certainly wont expend resources into it. They need to create seasons to keep the game profitable and aside of that they are developing PoE 2.

I know it sucks but you should just accept you are the minority and they wont develop things arround your gamestyle.

standard still is home for a notable % of the playerbase.

also MTX isn't designed around just league players.




also as a secondary note... as someone who has cleaned most of their stash after this last migration and is finishing over the next few days(old dump tabs are the worst).

the one thing preventing me from playing the game is my map tab... I can't convert it to the current series because I do not have an empty one, this means the stash tab I bought is not serving its function... if only it worked the way I suggested in my post earlier in this thread.

It's been a mess for a decade now.

It's not about standard for me. I played almost every league in the past ten years. It's about a contract (money was exchanged for a product advertised with certain features) that has not been delivered upon.

Again: It's about a product sold for money that doesn't do what it promises to do - which is basically (at least under German law) a broken contract. https://www.juraforum.de/lexikon/kaufvertrag (it's in German, sorry)

For me it's a principle thing, a basic decency. I don't care much what they actually do to their game in terms of gameplay, that's their right to do. I care about integrity. The premium stash tab lie, streamer priority when queuing for game entry lie, claiming ruthless is just a side-project (potential lie)....I care about such things. And I find GGG more and more lacking in the integrity department.

if they at least removed the 25% chance to convert into a new series map when vaal'ing it would be less painful.

I have stop pressing the conversion button.

I already have almost 100 non-remove-only tab, why not just flood the server database with another remove-only map tab....

If you running out of map, just look for your old remove-only map and choose a T16 that you feel it is no longer needed as legacy map item and convert it

thats not the issue though.
well partly.

If I spend 3.20 farming maps. I have a current series stash tab full of maps.
Some I want to run. and mostly full of my favourited map.
e.g crimson temple.

Now, I 4 chisel, alch and vaal my maps as most people do.

Now, 3.21 launches.
I log into standard.
I want to run crimson temple.
I don't have any current series.
But I have full 72 x crimson temple in my new remove only tab from 3.20

Issue 1. remove only tab.
I have to remove them out to interact with them
So I move to a regular tab.
I chisel, alch, vaal.

Issue 2.
25% of them will corrpupt into a CURRENT series t16 map. Meaning I lose 25% of my crimson temple maps.

Issue 2 is the bigger issue for me.
Because of the natural map system GGG have implemented.
If they removed that, and all my t16's convert into current series of the same map they are, then the issue is gone.
This also solves the problem of remove only.

IMO, in standard league, they should just allow all map areas to exist in the current league map version regardless of whether it has a place on the current atlas. And just do a 1x1 conversion. i.e. T6 Strand from 3.18 or whatever converts to T6 Strand 3.21, even though there's no such thing on the atlas (making one up, I don't recall if 3.18 or 3.21 actually had a T6 Strand ).

Any new maps you find would be from the new atlas, but past league maps would just convert up to the latest league directly, one to one, same tier as they were before.

Leagues are a priority for revenue spikes and fresh blood (judging by the launch numbers of this league), but it is good for business to keep all players happy regardless of the league type.

That said, I think they will have the optimal conversion solution eventually since they have been working on this converter for some time now. They would effectively just need to convert old to new 1:1, and for the few that are removed, they convert those to the defaults.

Would really like some input from GGG on this.

Silence doesn't help. communicating with us does.

They won't do anything. The current "solution" is what they came up with after 10 years of problems....lol
