New melee gems a bit too OP
My idea of melee balance
Time time move to mob + time to kill mob with melee skills < time to kill mob with ranged skills There are still ranged skills that kill faster; therefore, melee is still underpowered. Stuff like this is a step in the right direction, though. When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.

Lol at what DPS says on a flickerstrike build. If your using blood rage to keep frenzy charges up and flickerstriking your goal is to 1 shot mobs. There for DPS means NOTHING. Hit your character tab and look at your combined damage. THAT is what matters on a flickerstrike build.
And yeah Uber Unique with 6 link and world drop ... congrats but not op in the least Charan said it best. |

u can do way more dmg if its a 6link elemental weapon due to physical reduction wif the gems equipped

I use flicker strike to clear most content, with multistrike.
I've died something like 40 times and I'm only level 48. I haven't died because stuff was too hard, I've died getting desynced and flickerstriking mobs the server apparently didn't think I could hit. If you're calling for nerfs on something, it should at least be fixed first. |

" I might not have got the point across how i meant it to come across. I only started to use this build 2 days ago, and i haven't stopped. I used Leap slam, Ground slam, LS, Cleave, Heavy strike.. You name it i've tried it with different gem combo's and all. The reason i think this is OP is because it is faster, more deadly and just insanely OP compared to basically every other melee gem combo ive used. It just doesn't seem right that one set of gems/skills should be so far ahead of the rest. I disagree.
My Flicker Strike does 12k dps with full power and frenzy charges. It is linked with Increased Aoe, Splash, Multistrike and Melee Physical Damage. I even use Terminus Est and Voll's. Yeah 66 maps are not much of a challenge. 72+ maps are the real deal. Even without any desync problems, it is really hard to sustain charges and tank all the hits. Atleast for me. |

" Well, your previous gear choices answer one of your problems. Voll's is a very hard piece to wear and be able to tank anything late game. I believe that's by design. Alteration Orb Union Local #7

I watched the Kripp youtube vid on the new melee support gems and I was like...there's nothing OP here.
Only thing I saw even remotely OP'ish is multistrike-flicker, which, if you're eyes can take hours of that abuse, you should be allowed to use it. Yes, the army of Dominating blow mobs is fun, but do you really want to facetank a mob w/ a skill that does 0 dmg? Not to mention you need to link it w/ inc duration. MS ground slam, yawn, splash infernal blow, yawn. MS ligthning strike looked semi-promising. |
