Instance crashes suggest that GGG servers certainly are not 99.99% flawless. And connection/performance problems that you only get on some instances but not on others (on the same realm) obviously are also on GGG side - probably caused by server overload.

And then you can see which connections are currently active, if your router isn't some weird poopoo.

The main issue is awful scummy ISP's like Cogent throttling and deprioritizing connections.
