Allow lifetap on divine blessing again?
Almost every build now relies on eldritch battery. It would be really nice if lifetap was allowed on divine blessing again. Almost everyone goes for devouring diadem now right away.

In my eyes Divine Blessing is just skill bloat, there is nothing challenging or fun in clicking the button every now and then.
I rather see it gone and have the lost damage/movement speed made up somewhere else. |

I think they need to remove auras in general.

" To cut down build diversity even more, and also to get rid of a large amount of items? (clusters, jewels, aura focused items) sounds like a pointless idea. Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun. Last edited by Pashid#4643 on Mar 7, 2023, 12:52:20 PM

na they will just nerf eb, es regen, and diadem then make diadem a t0 drop and call it a day

" True. That happens if they don't buff everything to compensate. Auras are incredibly build restricting at the moment. Even after massive nerfs they hold up a majority of builds with reliable defenses for a 10-20 point investment. Phase acrobatics and dodge were kneecaped for this reason. In fact glad block was nerfed for a simular reason. I get what you are saying though. Cutting stuff from the game sucks, it just does. But in my opinion, the devs aren't happy with how character builds work at the moment. |

On the opposite side. I feel Auras should function like Blessings.
It's not far removed from how Vaal versions work already. Mana Reservation has always been a dumb idea since beta and I'm sure now that we're all aura bots most others can see why. There's no interaction or playstyle method to Auras. You could delete them all and it wouldn't change how majority of people play. I feel this says a lot to their true value as a gameplay feature. A couple of builds in PoE Ninja are able to reduce the mana to zero. Mageblood combined with reduced mana cost affix on flask, a few reduced mana cost cluster passives, etc. Blessings are no cost for them.

" It would change quite a lot cause at first most builds would pretty much lose a large part of their defensive layers as well as damage type specific buffs which enable most builds. Some build would suddenly lack accuracy while others need the life or mana regen to work in first place. worth to mention you would lose one of the most important item for many builds which offers a large diversity in different ways. watcher's eye would be just useless without the different interactions with different aura effects. Same goes for Sublime Vision cause you can build some great builds with this item. Overall less build diversity with the lack of build enabling items/functions. But hey FYI 5 or even 6 auras is not considerable as a aura bot. that's not even half of what a actual aura bot offers to a party. But I get it it's just another take in hope to water down the game more cause mana reservation is so scary and casual unfriendly ;( " agree, having the additional aura on lifetap would be nice. could be useful for some builds as a additional "burst" button for bosses and such Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun. Last edited by Pashid#4643 on Mar 7, 2023, 8:24:33 PM

" None of that has to do with playstyles or interaction. Just stats. Defensive layers, damage types, accuracy. This is all just fluff. Watcher's Eye is just bonus stats. Sublime Vision is just damage for using one aura. None of this changes anything about how you play the game and builds can be made perfectly fine in similar measure without them. Watered down is getting efficiency on every single build, slapping auras on and using 1-2 skills the whole game. I'm talking about using boons and timing according to fight mechanics. How about managing some cooldowns or a limited resource. "Never trust floating women." -Officer Kirac
