Respeccing Atlas Tree Should Be Free Or Near Free
" Because the game exists out side of the league, and free respecs encourages you to throw EVERYTHING into offense, then respec fight to fight only as needed. You can REALLY game fights when you have unlimited ability to rework things. I fully disagree the skill tree should be any more leanent than it is. The solid state makes characters entities and not free floating nothings which is the entire goal of that limitation. The atlas being shared reduces the indiviuality of each character instead of expanding it like more fixed skills do. |

" But...this already happens. People spec out different for uber fights for say Exarch, Sirus, or Uber Uber Elder/Shaper. They are in general minor tweaks mostly with resists or CB immunity or minion regen, but it does happen. To think that regret orbs in Standard is a mitigation obstacle...well I dont know what to say to that. " Game doesn't exist outside of league for most people. The fact leagues are back to back make Standard non-existent. As for the trees being lenient, lets face it, most of the tree is worthless to most classes. The same nodes are used in every build that is near the same starting point. It is kind of like skills, there are a select few that are used, and the rest are what ever. |

I agree each tree should be locked to each character, the point should be account wide.
Being able to reset the tree for a cost and a delete tab option would be some huge QoL options GGG should do. |

" The atlas tree I think should be able to respec and character locked not account locked. The skill tree though, maybe one free respec at lvl 70 or 80. Most builds are forced to level something they hate to play because GGG makes it impossible to level with the preferred skill gem. Flicker strike fore example is just not doable without certain items. And it has become common to level poison concoction or Arma brand the respec into what you actually want to play because the lower levels are near unplayable. " People play different build for different parts of the game. Delve for example is a very specific type of play. Requires a very certain type of build to be able to do, so if you want to play some delve. It also requires a very specific atlas tree unless you have boat loads of currency. Map Objectives points should be universal while each character should have his own atlas tree. That way you can try different types of play and the cost is time in game. IMO it would be great for player retention. |

Lots of deleted posts on this thread judging by how many exist per page.
Anyway (hi mods defending the game ruthlessly) limiting atlas tree respecs only serves to force you to grind currency to experience the game. If you think grinding out the currency to experience the game is good, you will like this. If you dont, you dont. There is nothing else to argue. (do you REALLY need to delete this mods, how controversial are these statements? I know you are more PR than than real moderation, but how far will you take it?) |

2023 and the dev's are still thinking we're playing on d2 era..
so many combinations players would like to try rather than following whatever youtuber posted to make 700 mirrors in 2 days but no it's always something in the way that prevents the actual freedom of choice when it comes to this game "Parade your victories, hide your defeats. Mortals are so insecure."

" lol this guy how's the next league won't start until February predictions working out for you? "You want it to be one way, but it's the other way"

" Well, that's it, isn't it. What it comes down to is who has money and who does not. If you got currency nothing is a problem. If you don't got currency, good luck because it seems like you are always treading water and always behind the good price jumps. I'll give you a secret though, that if you've been playing are not so much secrets if you've been playing long enough. These streamers don't post their videos till they've already made their money. There is an entire network of high end players that communicate behind the scenes, and they have already determined what is going to be the next hot commodity and have cornered the market. I was watching a streamer a week or so ago who was getting ready to release a video on how OP a certain thing was on the atlas tree. He was doing everything he could to be very cryptic about what his mats were, what he was purchasing, and even at times had friends purchase what he needed so that no one saw what he was doing. Right when he was getting ready to log off he showed 2 of the matts to the stream so they could buy them before the cost exploded. But unless you had 30-40 Divine already you were never going to be able to pull off what he was doing. And that's the game. |
