Path of exile > D3

All difficulty levels will be tweaked in the next update. Right now they're all too easy because enemy AI is the same and there aren't that many more enemies in groups in Merciless than in other difficulties. I think it's going to be a while before the difficulties are just right. Just remember that D3 has a team of developers a mile long, and PoE started out as only 4 dudes who wanted to make their dream game. Diablo took 5 years to come out, and PoE has taken 4 so far despite their fewer resources.

The only reason I like Path of Exile is the MASSIVE skill tree and you know what that means! VARIETY, CUSTOMISATION, thing is, I love the fact that you have choice in a game.
Small Time Game Reviewer, would love the opportunity to play this game.

" "Punishes"? It's called the learning curve, and it exists in every skill one can learn, everywhere, ever. You start out with little understanding of the skill (playing the game, not the passive/active skill), and gain more skill over time. That's not punishment, that's how learning works. If you're concerned about messing up a character, guess what? You get 24 character slots with which to experiment... And learn. If you really dun wanna mess up, watch some playthrough vids of successful players, read the forum, or mebbe even stop and plot out your build a few steps in advance. If you want your gameplay skills spoon-fed to you, D3 might better suit your needs. ='[.]'= =^[.]^= basic (happy/amused) cheetahmoticon: Whiskers/eye/tear-streak/nose/tear-streak/eye/

Well to be honest PoE looks alot better than D3 and i've heard and read nothing but negative comments about D3 (some postive) but PoE is f2p and D3 isn't so i think that is why PoE is gunna go furher than D3

" This man speaks truth. It's the old playing in a sandbox vs riding a linear rollercoaster all over again. Which is more enjoyable? Well, most here would argue a sandbox is massively more rewarding. Some prefer rollercoasters, and the grand daddy rollercoaster is now released (D3). |

Both are good games in their own way.

" Inferno is a joke; it's a difficulty of pure gear check. Each class has only one viable build in Inferno, and the damage/hp values are off the mark. Blizzard just jacked the difficulty up by adding more values, rather than adding interesting enemies to fight. |

Hey, first post here.
D3 was also my first game of this "genre", but after playing through the game on my monk and reaching inferno, I have to agree with some of the flaws of that game. The gear seems lackluster and inferno -seems- overtuned. I have only progressed halfway through act 2 inferno (skipping some elite mobs) and can say that gear does help a lot when looking back at how act 1 is now and how act 2 has become. However, in the ruins I still get stomped on by trash mobs and the elites are almost impossible to solo unless you get a really gimped combo. Although I still have the other classes to try past normal, I feel like I have a bad taste in my mouth about gear(AH)/Inferno so I have recently checked out PoE and T2. The passive skill tree and the fact you -can- use any gear that you have requirements for make the nerd in me pretty excited. IGN: EmptyPalms

" One of my greatest complaints about a lot of video games. In many rpgs, the highest difficulty setting is impossible unless you have a broken build- in which case it becomes a cakewalk.
