Honestly, I should've suspected something when the build in question uses Acrobatics with absolutely 0 spell suppression, talks about how Point Blank + Far Shot is "such a dps boost" without actually allocating Far Shot, a Farrul's Fur without aspect of the cat, and a levelling guide that is pretty much "just do whatever." But given the 741 comments on the build on PoE Vault with only 49 'upvotes' I don't think I'm the only one. If you're curious, it's Deadeye Elemental Hit. I won't link it but it's still on PoE Vault.
GGG can we get some kind of alternative to PoE vault that isn't infested with RMT scammers looking to expand their customer base by tricking us into using unplayably shit builds? Just something that's curated that we can trust. I know there's a subforum for builds, but I mean something a lot more organised with curation and upvotes/downvotes etc. that people can trust.

i think you scammed yourself, elemental hit is really good build, that tree is not ideal but the choices of items is good, if you had 100 ish divines worth of gear this build is good uber uber boss killer
i took a look at that guide and it is as i thought it clearly says in cons, extremely expensive, ele hit is one of those builds where it scales very well at extreme end of investment, for mapping you would use headhunter as its not playable othervise, and for bossing it has all the damage and mobility you could need

Just use poe ninja and look at the builds on there and take away the info you need. You can easily export the info to pob. You can filter on some of the criteria you have. Ascendancy, skill, specific items. If players are reaching lvl 98+ with the builds chances are they are pretty solid. It is imo the best resource available for build inspiration

OK, that makes sense. But it does say you only need 2 20c jewels to get it 'rolling'.

if you have ele hit jewels and thats it, its t1-t5 map tier build

forum guides work just fine....there's also youtube. if you go to dodgy third party websites for guides then that's on you

i never used that site so dunno ho reliable it is. i just use the guides from here(forums) and they work for me.

I checked that build on POE Vault and the author is unnamed.
Check out the builds on https://maxroll.gg/poe/. They are authored by named streamers. I think the POE section on Maxroll is relatively new.
Of course, streamers can also publish bait builds. However, streamer builds are less likely to be bait than builds published by unnamed sources.
