We Need More Ways To Get Divine Orbs!

You can drop all the divines you want, it will just increase prices. The issue aren't divines, it's the extremely low amount of useful items dropping.

I would generally agree that a divine orb shard system would benefit the game. The state of currency in POE is that in the end, it is meant to be consumed for crafting purposes. The issue I have with the current economy is that crafting "incredible" gear is currently in the hands of the people who can dump insane amounts of time and investment into the game.

If you look back at harvest, which I think was generally one of the best received leagues, GGG opened up the crafting to a degree that even people who just casually played on the weekends could still dip their toes into crafting... I think that is a GOOD thing. Ideally, you would want a system with maximum engagement and it is hard to achieve that engagement when only the top 5% or less of players can afford to dump currency into crafting

That sounds less like a actual problem and more like a fomo problem.
Crafting is fine as it is and there's literally no need for the old harvest to return in any way. The game offers various ways to craft items for every type of players. Even simple essence crafting or rog items are enough for a "casual" to beat the entire game content just fine. And even the gear is good enough as a solid foundation to farm whatever for better gear.

Having access to actual high end crafted items for free and right away only ends up in another huge power creep, something the game isn't in need for at all cause we had enough of that since several leagues.
Especially with the current simple and easy content.

Unlikely to happen but blancing skills and classes to open up more build diversity in ever level of budget would be a better way fix something in first place.
Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

I am in no way advocating for a divine shard system to be "free" or available "right away" I also disagree with the classification of my concerns as "fomo". I am not so concerned with having immediate access, and I understand that there are plenty of lower teir options for crafting available, but what I am trying to say is that for a "casual" player end game crafting is pretty inaccessible. I would say I am a fairly casual player, although my knowledge has built up a bit over time. I have repeatedly tried to get friends to join me in playing poe but the biggest gate that always forces them to quit is that there doesn't seem a clear pathway forward after a certain point without an exponential time investment. And I'm not saying it should be immediate, it would just be nice to get some level of progress showing that you are building towards something. Having either 0 divines or dropping 1 divine in the current system does provide a huge dopamine hit, but that doesn't mean much when the average player is rarely dropping any divines.

I am genuinely not trying to come off as whiny or as being in a "fomo" crowd... I just wish the systems in game were a bit more accessible. Still a fun game and I'm having a blast with the league.
