Why is the new league still so delayed compare to pc?

Im not sure how Sony does their update schedule, but Microsoft generally releases their patches on Tuesdays in waves. So I'm sure a lot of it has to do with the leagues needing to go through certification, but it is also probably because the consoles versions of the league launch with the first waves of patches out of the gate and these don't get held up by another week of waiting for another patch cert. again.
ggg has a fast track cert process. they have proven that by giving us patches within hours of pc getting them.
We are getting hotfix 10 which was released Dec 12, but not hotfix 11 and 12 which were released Dec 13.

That would suggest any time it takes to compile the two consoles code, test, and receive certification would be two days.

Sorry TAXI, but there's a huge difference between an "emergency" patch to fix an important bug that is, at most, a few hundred megabytes, and a new league launch with several gigabytes and has an HUGE numbers of changes in it. Very like tens of thousands of code commits. Maybe hundreds of thousands.

The certification process is not some rubber stamp. They are actually checking over stuff (mostly with automation). It literally takes longer to do with a bigger/more complicated patch.
