i guess i've got a similar problem. i downloaded the client and installed it once. the whole folder turned out to be around 800 mbs. then i uninstalled it through control panel, and re-installed it. this time the whole game folder is just over 200 mbs.

download CCleaner (program) - go to menu and delete (installed game) then clean ur computer - cookies etc etc. then go to registry option also clean all (do everything at least twice because it sometimes wont delete everything at all) then press DOWNLOAD NOW on pathofexile.com - u get file of around 1-5mb (cant remember :-D) if u r user of windows 7 right click file - properties/option (i m not using english version of Windows so not sure) run it as administrator - with compability of some windows xp (i always choose service pack 2)
everything should go well - simple as that |

I did it all Exiler and still it downloads only 79mb =[ at least i cleaned alot of crap from my computer. And I pm'ed you greybear, still nothing :(

:( - the only other item I can think of is to download on a second computer and move the files.

Thank you all very much for the advice... I went home and tried to install the game like Greybear1andonly suggested, and on my first try it started downloading the 3.02gb client!!! :) My theory is that the internet at my dorms blocked the ports for torrent downloads, and by accident it also blocked the ports needed to download the client. For now the game works fine *touches wood* and I really hope it will continue to. Thank you again everyone!

Backup the Content.ggpk file, because if for some reason the original file corrupts... you have the same problem.
