Loot Goblin still in the game
With the drops hidden from you beforehand, all it is is a buff to MF.

Well, from what I have read so far, it seems to me that most of you guys are trying to solve mathematical problems without having numbers at hand. Let the developers deal with the factual and numerical issues. Assuming (and if) I'm right about the observation I've made so far...
As players our (and your) focus should be on perception and/or feelings such as: * Are you having fun * How does the game make you feel * How does existence of MF gear and builds impact you - Do you feel forced to play MF or do you feel like MF is a gimmick - Do you feel bad when you are playing a MF build or - Do you feel bad when you are NOT playing a MF build Above are some example questions. I'm sure you get the point I'm trying to make but for the sake of clarity I'll share my "perceptions" and "feelings". Let's ignore the "invite culler" issue. I believe it was a disgrace of a design. Shameful even. Moving on. Current league, Lake of Kalandra, felt like a job. It was not fun for me, so I stopped early. During the time I played I felt like I had to play a MF build. Allow me to elaborate. For me, the point of the game is getting stronger and to do that I needed wealth. To have wealth I needed MF and to have MF I had to play a "weaker" build which focuses on MF. Anytime I played my "actual" toon I felt bad cause I was missing on loot. As should be expected this resulted in a sensation of "farming for farming" rather than "farming to grow stronger". As you might have guessed "fun" was not the focal point. It was a feeling you had "in-between". In fact, fun has not been the focal point of this game for a long time now. The game is bloated with too much bs and inconvenience for that. Hopefully it will get better this patch. As far as I'm concerned, no player should feel forced to play a weaker build or use a weaker item. I feel like this game does exactly the opposite. I feel like there is a problem with MF and the problem is exacerbated by the reward/difficulty ratio. I feel like whenever I play as a group, I'm playing "against my group" rather than "with my group against enemies" and there are many reasons for that some of which are more obvious than others. And for those reasons, I feel like the game is not suitable to play as a group, yet it heavily incentivizes group play. Now, I honestly believe if we share our "feelings" rather than "our made-up numbers" we can have a better discussion among each other and that will hopefully result in better feedback on our part and better communication on developers' part. I hope this helps. Good luck. |

I agree, loot goblins are stupid and I can only advise people to try and play PoE where they don't live and die based on finding one. I bet you can make currency to the point where you simply shrug your shoulders after the goblin spits out 5c. Simple things like playing Delve and bulk selling Delve rings, fossils, and resonators. You can make good currency doing that in Standard, for example.
" Fix your tree. Alch-n-go with Stream of Consciousness should be fairly strong for how little time you spend preparing maps. There's no way you're only making 3c unless you're only counting chaos orbs and nothing else. Last edited by jack_aubrey#0655 on Dec 5, 2022, 3:26:19 PM
