"Skeletons are permanent minions" but have to be re-summoned after logging-out

so the point of the boots is so that when you log out you don't need to press a single button to resummon? That is wildly inaccurate.

The "point" of the boots is that, during gameplay, you do not need to resummon skellies except when they die. Furthermore you do not need to spec into skill effect duration at all. The minor inconvenience of having to resummon them on log out is a tiny minuscule completely ignorable "pseudo-bug". I agree with Ciel, the skeleton skill is a durational minion. The boots remove the duration tag BUT it does not completely change the innate coded function of the skill. If gear could do that it would be completely insane. In fact, its not even a bug.

I don't get what's so insane about it when you are losing Boots slot that can currently give you Brittle ground, elemental ailment avoidance, more movement speed, 80+ life or 200+ Es, life regeneration and so on...

It would just be a quality of life thing to not re-summon them (just like zombies that had to be re-summoned before the "Permanent minions" patch that fixed that) and it wouldn't even make them more powerful (it's not like i'm asking to also add a more minion life multiplier on them specifically for skellies to have an all in one pair of boots...)

And you are also completely wrong, the boots don't remove the duration tag, you can clearly see if you hover your mouse over the skill that the stat "Minion lasts for 20 seconds" is still there when you have the boots on.
Furthermore it would make corrupted implicits like +2 Level of socketed duration gems not work, yet they still do.
You are not coding for GGG (i'm not either, but at least I don't make assumption upon how they make these boots work).
Another proof that you don't know what you are talking about and just trying to make it look like it doesn't deserve a fix (despite it not affecting your game experience in the end).

Its entirely possible they would have to change the load order to make this work, i've rarely seen a "bug" (which is kina debatable) that falls more into the probably not worth the time to fix category.

I feel bad for OP in this regard but I really doubt you'll get it fixed :p

ignoring your pointless rudeness, that is not how tag adjustments work...it is a "hidden" effect and will never actually be changed on the skill gem description in-game. This particular line of text only applies to skeleton warriors and DOES NOT apply to Vaal Summon Skeletons at all. Every single skelly build I have ever played or seen is using vaal summon skeletons which RETAINS it's duration tag because the boots do not affect the vaal version.

I am not in-game to prove this, but I would bet that the +2 duration implicit no longer works on a NORMAL summon skeletons skill gem when you slap on the boots. If it does then fantastic, I would actually consider THAT a bug. But this has no bearing on how the boots work. Things like "less duration" or other duration mods probably cease working on the gem as well, unless it is a vaal version of the skill.

It might also be the case that you can only add tags and never remove them. It happens so infrequently that I cannot say this for sure. But I know that certain builds call for using lifetap to "add" the duration tag to skills (which ofc does NOT show up in the skill description in-game).

These changes do NOT represent changes on the innate function of the skill (being a summoned, temporary minion). But rather, it changes how that skill interacts with OTHER things within the game. It does not re-code the gem outside of play. I can't see any possible way GGG could make the BOOTS re-code the gem to act differently upon logout...

the boots won't take the duration tag off the gem
This is such an astonishing level of entitled nonsense that it actually inspired me to post for the first time.

This is a non-debatable non-issue. You are spending more time whining and complaining about the click of A button than it would take you to click the gd button in the first place. The sheer level of laziness and entitlement exuding from this thread should be studied in a laboratory for use in creating perpetual energy.

To put it simply, would it be nice if they could behave like zombies when you have these boots on? Sure. But the amount of time it would take to implement this and do any necessary regression testing would far outpace the total amount of time all the players would save added together from now until the death of this game, and that assumes that it works the first time and doesn't lead to any additional bugs.

You've spent considerably more time complaining about this issue than the time this issue would cost you for the rest of your PoE playtime. The time it would take you to pull your pants up after taking a dump is comparable to a weeks worth of the time you are trying to save with this "fix". With that in mind, please consider ceasing to take a dump all over these forums.

Alright, thanks for clarifying your point, I get what you mean now.
Nothing really stops them to rework the gem in a way it interacts properly with the boots, but it'll just depends on them ultimately.
My goal was just to bring this to light hoping (COPIUM) to get some QoL.

Hahaha thanks for the good laugh, that's some dedication.
I'm looking long terms, you know, everytime logging in, having to turn an aura off, pressing skellies, waiting for mana to refill, pressing them again, and then that again, one last time.

But this, every, single, time... I can see lack of empathy blocking you from seeing the issue here but it's all good.

PS: Don't make it look like it's your first post or w/e, most likely you are using this (or even dozens) of accounts to trash people over the forum.
Talking about time loss... ironic to say the least.

You caught me. I have an army of decade-old accounts and I still haven't even gotten more than 1/4 the way through them. Mwahahaha!

Funny you bring up copium in your previous reply because it seems to be a regular indulgence of yours.
