How MF (Rarity) was answered in the FAQ's. The straw that broke the camels back
The way I see it, MF is a good thing in general, because it adds an extra layer to character building - squeezing in MF without losing too much power.
What I dislike about it is how IIQ is bound to a few ancient uniques. Imo should be treated like other stats - multiple slots can roll it as regular affix or it shouldn't exist at all. Yes, it's a powerful modifier, but so is +1 to all gem skill levels. | |

so you just want them to tell you exactly what to do so you dont have to think about it?

Idk man I guess we just have to disagree on how important the issue of not knowing exact values is.
And they already gave you a giant hint; it's like D2s MF with diminishing returns. That first 50 to 100% is very noticeable, but going for 300 or 400 doesn't return near as much so unless you've got really good gear it's better to focus on other parts of your character. And yes I know it probably won't be a 1:1 conversion when comparing to D2, but it should give everyone the general idea; you want at least some somewhere on your gear because that initial investment is very worth it. " For just one second, lets pretend that MF is an OK mechanic (which it isn't). I mean... Why isn't it OK to leave some discoveries up to the players? Play the game, feel the game and discover for yourself. Does the game feel OK without MF? No? Get some. Why does every choice in the game have to be min/maxed from the get-go, to play everything in the most efficient matter? Why not just play the game, discover - and if you can squeeze in some MF, you do it? Isn't it possible to make choices based on your discoveries instead of reducing the game to know numbers all the time? Sometime, I miss the old days when we actually PLAYED games, and not just breaking them down to numbers. But hey, I'm old. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.
