What was the reason for your exile?

Since it is not made clear in the dialogue exactly why Dominus exiled the PC, it is sort of an opportunity for headcanon.

For my Templar, I like to headcanon that they are a Socrates sort- they question church dogma that is based on authority alone. And because of this they are considered a heretic and exiled, but they hold that their connection to real divinity is independent of the High Templar's authority. This makes them the "inquisitor" because they dare to question and to use the Socratic Method of questioning.

The reason of my exile was the fact that I advertised Head and Shoulders shampoo to the wrong person and made some hateful comments about him not using it, which in terms led to a deprecation of his intellect.
