The majority of players dont like hard content

Just to throw my 2 cents in. I've been getting bored of the game because in SC Trade, there really is no excitement for drops. I played more heavily at league start and finally realized that I did so because SOME drops at league start were actually worth something, which made them exciting. But it's a problem when as soon as you hit maps, there's really no reason to even glance at nearly all the drops you get. I think this is why I play each league for less than a month and then get bored.

But in the Mayhem event, given how short it is, I decided to try SSF. And interestingly enough, it felt a LOT more exciting. I was hunting for bases on the ground. I had to engage my crafting knowledge fully. I had to compromise on things because I didn't always get what I wanted. Getting to Pinnacle Bosses even was more of a challenge. I may be an SSF convert now. I know it means giving up my 37-40 challenges every league (I don't ever buy carries but I do buy things like Tower of Ordeals key this league, which I doubt I can grind out in SSF cuz I hate what Delve has become).

It's made me realize, I've always liked games hard. SC Trade was getting boring because quite honestly it's too easy when you can just throw currency at everything. I appreciated each of my gear pieces a lot more (despite them being a lot weaker) because I feel like I actually worked for them instead of them being practically given to me.

People like difficulty when it's opt-in not forced upon them that's why there is modes like Hardcore and SSF and Ruthless (Soon) for people that are willing to try something different for a while.
I don't disagree. But I do disagree that most people don't want any kind of hard content.
The problem with GGGs Vision™ of difficulty is that they equate that to difficulty in acquiring resources, which is hilariously wrong.

Remove influenced items, clusters jewels and pit that same character against the same content. THAT is increase in difficulty, not taking twice or thrice the amount of time to acquire the same items you once did before.

You could also double the amount of damage and life a boss have. For some reason Chris thinks THAT is bad game design, but blatantly nerfing characters offense and defence obtaining the same effect, isn't? Idk, i don't make the memes, they make themselves.
Ruthless should be [Removed by Support].
