Remove Chaos shards, insert Divine Shards

Chaos shards are pointless. You don't get them from vendoring gear like other useful crafting currencies (alts, trans, alcs, augs)
Your big excuse for no divine shards was didn't want to increase clicking...

Remove pointless chaos shards and swap to divine shards.

Cheers

chaos shards aren't useless... they add up to chaos orbs.
you will not have many friends here if you ask for divine orbs to drop as divine shards.
try reddit, folks there loves those ideas to make the game more challenging

hes not asking for divine orbs to drop as shards

hes asking for harbingers and other shard droppers, to BE ABLE to drop divine shards.

because now that exalt shard value has been crushed, these 'rewards' are all terrible.

Did you know theres a VENDOR RECIPE for exalt shards? take the chaos recipe, except all the items are the same Influence (so a full set of elder gear, for example)

You get 2 Exalt Shards for that. Thats ~ 2 chaos in todays exchange. Does that make ANY sense? a full influenced set gets you the same value as an unid chaos set you could farm from tier 1 maps?????
agreed
I'd like to see fewer shards exist in general. Or rather, I dislike harbingers because the drops tend to be garbage. When the game drops regular orbs, picking up shards of transmutation (and some of the other simple types) hardly even seems worth it.

i was trying to make a joke about "what a player asked and what ggg actually got out of it."

there is a reason they buffed divines (to prevent casuals from bench crafting) and asking for a divine shard actually is a buff to players which is moot cause players only ever asked for buffs.

when ex were worth something, no guy i ever played with picked up 90% of influenced gear.

they were all playing (more) efficiently (than me).

Disagree. Implementation of divine shards will cause the exact same thing that happened to exalted orbs and that is item price inflation and those who don't do harbinger runs will feel left out.

It will indeed cause overall inflation, as in divines will lose value compared to chaos and other useful currencies (as opposed to the exalted triple ahegao) and most items...that aren't mid to well rolled uniques or rares. Since they will be much, much cheaper to make they wont end up costing more divines at all.

I think the op has a great idea which will be implemented at the precise moment my old wooden slippers bloom with beautiful flowers as we say in Bulgaria. No idea when wooden slippers were a thing with us (as opposed to Holland) though. :D
Me, chaos shards suit me.

There are many less experienced players who are very happy to have them to afford to buy little by little enough to make a build that holds up a bit.

Adding divine shards would be great but it would be even better to have, in addition, a new vendor recipe for divines orb (or divine shard).

The divine has a lot of utility and more than exas had before the crafting recipe price change.

It is abnormal to have deleted this recipe and not to have planned anything to replace it.
