Cannot Launch Game For Days Now Client Keeps Insta-Closing

I don't know anymore it's just funny at this point.

Tried uninstalling PoE from Windows add/remove, deleted all POE/GGG folders, restarted PC, d-loaded launcher from website again.

The game still installs instantly like it never even uninstalled from my PC to begin with. Tried the repair option in the install window too.

I JUST DON'T KNOW ANYMORE -_-

Are you sure the Steam install was completely removed? As in the steam install doesn't have some sort of registry entry to files the stand alone client just reads and tries to use?


Just throwing out a random guess


edit: for example, if one would delete the files manually instead of using Steam's uninstall option there could be leftovers in the registry.

Yes, I fully uninstalled from Steam a while ago and now went back to it. I can run POE on Steam now but not stand alone client. Sometimes it wont start up on Steam (again same issue as before) but a PC restart fixes that. Before that quick fix worked for client but for months now it didn't.

And when the stand alone client worked for me, it worked always up until a new patch came out then back to insta crashing.

Just going to use Steam for now but I much prefer the client.
