Cannot Launch Game For Days Now Client Keeps Insta-Closing

The client keeps crashing 1-2 seconds after launching it while it looks like it is trying to patch.

This has happened to me in the past even when PoE is up-to-date, my client would sometimes instantly close if my PC was on too long or something, then I'd restart it and PoE would open fine.
Now, nothing I do works. Client just keeps crashing after a couple seconds of being launched no matter what I do.

Cant even seem to uninstall PoE fully anymore? Using Add/Remove Program on top of deleting the folders doesn't work. It just insta-installs again when I go to download it from the website.

I use the stand-alone client atm (Had similar issues with Steam in past)

No idea what to do or what other specs or options in other programs I can adjust.

- All Windows 10 updates installed
- Graphics drivers up to date
- Ran as admin when launching client
- Tried with VPN and without VPN
- Closed all background programs
- Uninstalled PoE and installed again
- Used 'Repair' option while installing

Update:
This is still happening, again now, seeing as the client is trying to patch something.

I managed to get PoE running again after spending hours uninstalling and installing and now we're back to square one...
GGG doesn't offer TECH support "at the moment" (been like this for several years now), so hopefully another player knows what to do.

However with as many problem as you are reporting, I think you have an hardware issue or ISP problem (I think hardware problem).

Maybe PSU can't handle the load. Maybe motherboard bios + settings. Maybe motherboard vendor drivers (like chipset drivers)......
Ok thanks for the update us.

Ok thanks for the update us. I just genuinely intended to assist my friend by directing him to a website where she might view free sample essays. For additional details, go to https://writinguniverse.com/free-essay-examples/deforestation/. if you'd like to view further examples of free essays. I came upon your post online when looking for it.

Possibly check what the game shortcut is actually pointing to or has been affected in some way.
I was having the same issues and found that when ran the PackCheck.exe from my Path of Exile install directory it said my content.ggpk couldn't be found. So I deleted the content.ggpk file and re-opened the client to patch again (took like an hour). This fixed it for me, hopefully it'll fix it for you too!

Thx, Tripolar.
Gonna give this a shot soon and try again. I basically gave up league a while ago as I was over uninstalling and installing again each time there was even the slightest PoE update.

EDIT: Said all my hashes or whatever are in sync and finished repairing so tried to launch game and still same issue. Updated to around 10-14% of current patch and crashes.

Also, for what it's worth, my CurseForge client I use to install and manage addons for WoW does the same thing. Have to restart my PC to allow it to launch. That just doesn't work for PoE anymore for past month.

Yo it started happening again, but I found a fix for my problem. It was the audio driver set through Voicemeeter Banana. Seems like game could not hook to audio output. It seems that the audio drivers for WDM only allows one source to take sound (or something like that) v.s MME allowing applications to share that audio. I'm probably explaining it wrong, or w.e but maybe this helps you or someone else.

Well, Path of Exile did the update and POE would not open after update? I tried doing the Repair, Not successful. PackCheck in the file folder, Not successful. I tried to delete the Content.ggpk, Not Successful.
So after reading some of the Thread post on the problem I tried my audio as well. And Path of Exile was having a conflict with Voice-Meter Banana. I went into the settings for Voice-Meter Banana and changed the settings.

steps:
1- open voice-meter then click A1 in the top right area.
2- Drop down box will open then unselect WDM.
3- Select MME
4- Go to you windows audio and check your settings there. See if you have Default selected.
5- Restart PC.
6- Fixed

Suggestion:
If problem still persist uninstall Voice-Meter Banana. Open POE file location run PackCheck allow check to finish running. Then delete the file Content.ggpk in the POE file location. Then restart PC and reopen POE to allow the update to install again. Reinstall Voice-Meter banana

I've no idea what Voicemeter banana is, which makes me think I don't have it on my PC. Unless it's part of the PoE files?
