The submission period is now officially closed. A big thank you and a great job to all participants, you make running this competition very worthwhile!

I would especially like to applaud and encourage all the newcomers to continue participating and I welcome you to join the hideout community discords if you want to (Hideout Showcase Discord | PoE Hideouts Discord).

After the final entries compilation is released I will announce the date and time for the showcase stream with Subtractem, so stay tuned!

Showcase stream of all the entries is happening with SUBTRACTEM as the host on MONDAY OCTOBER 31st starting at 12:00 EDT/ 17:00 CET/ 16:00 UTC, hope to see you tune in!

AMAZING New Hideout Designs

In conclusion to the competition I would like to add some of my personal thoughts unrelated to my role as the host.

First of all I am blown away by the quality of entries, you should all be immensely proud with your work. I hope nobody feels discouraged by not earning a higher ranking, please remember this is a contest of aesthetics and despite some objective criteria the end judgment will always still be subject to personal taste. All (if not most of) the jury members including myself have never won one of these, so try not to take the results too seriously.


Lastly, if I may, a few of my own insights about the entries:

Moonretealoud - The corrupted part of your Forest of Spirits is so creepy and atmospheric I would love to see a full hideout with that theme, it is insanely good.

MrMonkeyPlay - You played off the contrasting colour and lighting themes extremely well and both sections are thematically rich. Well done, would really like to see more of your work in the future.

G4nzo - Always a surprise too see which creatures you'll come up with next, simply stunning work.

Kamoss - You have progressed so much in building style in such a short time, I am amazed, the Hideaway Glade has a very good flow and is rich in points of interest and small details. Good job!

Morinmeth - Just...shut up and go home, you know how I feel about your hideouts. -_-

Titon - Expertly executed, the two themes are blending and playing off each other, beautiful hideout.

MikoMiranda - Gorgeous atmospheric piece, you managed to make Primeval base look like an actual mountain summit with full open sky, great detail and layering.

Blueish - Already seeing flashes of brilliance in your work, Oasis has a lovely natural flow and the Heaven area is so well executed you should expand the theme into a full hideout. Can't wait to see more of your work!

LuLu - I love your aesthetic style, so many detailed layers in building with well-chosen emphases. Make more.

Woozel - Incredible building technique and unique subject matter. Amazing.

Deathtiny - Very true to your own building style, as always a visual pleasure with a dark twist.

Hibikiltd - The darkness and richness of your Blood Altar are gorgeous. You've made pools of blood feel like a warm and inviting place to hang out.

Sumfight - The black pool is so well executed, amazing use of space to build a unique feature. Hope you continue making hideouts, would love to see more of your ideas.
