Ending the league I had 180 div orbs. bought three apothecaries. Gamble two of them on harvest. Doubles on the first (only) attempt. Instant mageblood. Worst feeling ever :( Why do they have this junk in the game. All my hours were pointless. This one click was worth 100 divines.

Simple, because you can loose 100 Divine's in a click as well. You were just lucky.

Im sure most people know what gambling junkie is.
When they win a gamble they get this insane surge of endorphins and it just feels amazing. When they lose they still feel pleasure because they felt they COULD have won. Its weird. Someone in charge of design at GGG is very much a gambling junkie. They build around trying to share that rush with players, so everything that is gambling is good, everything deterministic is bad. Boost loot goblins, nerf harvest. This is not trying to slander Chris or GGG, there are tons of people who absolutely LOVE gambling, its addictive and fun and exciting to them. They are not evil, mean spirited, Chris is not trying to do something bad to you. In fact they are trying to share their excitement they get from gambling. CLOSE YOUR EYES AND SLAM! OHHH YEAH! <- That is a gambling junkie. If you are not a gambling junkie (or a TFT culler), its pretty hard to imagine you like the absolute RNG mess that is PoEs crafting and current drop system. Used up the rest of my RNG.
Ran my saved up lakes as the last thing I do this league. Thought I could get some divines from currency chests in recent patch buff. No luck. But a house of mirrors dropped in my last lake. See you next league. |
