Get a 20/23 until you can get 21/23 if you don't already have it.

Well I guess you need to decide whether the flat dps is more important than the quality then because clearly you aren't getting a 21/23 anytime soon.

" well yeah, and that doesn't make sense. the game needs more sources for non-alternate 21/23 gems. you can find every alternate 21/23 gem thanks to its card but some of the normal ones are nowhere to be found "buff grenades"

21/23 is the pinnacle of gemhood though its supposed to be very rare to hit, it also has zero gameplay implications because quality bonuses are so light anyway its almost a flavour thing.
I can understand that you'd want one but I suspect if 1% area makes or breaks your build you can probably get that area elsewhere :p |

" true, but the fact that alternate 21/23 gems have higher availability doesn't make much sense. normal ones should be more available if anything. it really is the deciding factor for almost all breakpoints. my clear speed is already very good but more aoe never hurts "buff grenades"

dev has stated card should not be a way to acquire impossible item , or a shortcut

" uhh what? there's a card for pretty much every item in the game. this is why alternate 21/23's are very easy to obtain and it's inconsistent.
