AN in a Meta where people purchase level 100.
I have 3 characters at L.100 all solo never in party. I'm not in guild either. It takes time for sure but it's doable with lot of patience.

" Sentinel was batshit good for xp. I died more than I have on any other character in a league hands down, and still managed to get to 100 just running leeroy jenkins into packs and popping a blue sent. [19:36]#Mirror_stacking_clown: try smoke ganja every day for 10 years and do memory game

Arch Nemesis league I solo-leveled to 100 doing juiced mapping content with Beyond on the crafting bench. Last league I also powered through to level 100 doing Sentinels in Deli mirror maps. This league I got to level 98 but also geared myself up too quickly in transition to magic finding so that I couldn’t scale back survivability stats for magic finding unless I was willing to die too often. The choice was to deliberately play without magic find or bite the bullet and purchase 5-way carries for the remaining two levels. I did the latter.

My past couple levels were the result of "oh hey, I've got a ton of heist contracts/blueprints stored up, might as well run them." It feels like there's a strong incentive to run "safe" content if you care about leveling past 90, which I think is a bit odd for a "hardcore" game. After leveling, I fought Aul for the first time, since XP loss was not an issue, and took thirty tries (definitely popped off at the end, even got the "deadly encounters in style" progress for it) to be rewarded with one amulet I don't need. Still, I cannot imagine running safe stuff over and over and over just to hit 100. I want to play the whole game!
I think it's a bit of a missed opportunity that the last few levels are just a question of how patiently you're willing to grind. Would be cooler if they ditched XP for the last few levels and gated them behind extremely challenging encounters instead. |

I got a level 100 in Archnemesis (the league) and Sentinel. Both were via mapping.
For arch, I finally had a build capable of doing maxed Beyond maps with a headhunter, so grinding to 100 with that wasn't too hard. Thousands of monsters a map means quite a lot of xp. (though too bad headhunter and beyond have both since been gutted) For sentinel, I tried out a wardloop build and was able to get it tanky enough to survive archnemesis garbage AND kill things at zoom zoom pace, so I used abyss scarabs + abyss nodes on atlas tree + sentinels to get fairly good xp per map with little risk. Also did pure breachstones on the side (not chayula, the other ones) which ended up being a bit of a mistake since the breach maven invitation ended up being rippier than I expected. Must've gotten 2-3x as much experience as actually needed to go from 99 to 100... Украина в моём сердце Last edited by kaijyuu2#0256 on Sep 20, 2022, 4:26:58 AM

Lvld to 100 via Beachhead (because it was 100% safe) and
John Sinclair episode in the background. Didnt feel great after reaching 100....i guess its the new poe flavour (doing stuff and dont feel great afterwards). I always loved grinding but this experience was different.....! @Sorawn: I totally agree with you. |

I suspect your survey method might be a bit skewed, my assumption being players who are willing to purchase carries for boss content are also not players who are going to grind out 100 themselves. Anyone who is willing to buy a carry to something - for whatever reason - does not in my opinion care about achievement in the game themselves, they only want the results of whatever activity, be it levels, boss drops, challenges, what have you.

" I mean where does your achievement benchmarking stop though considering how trade works? Is someone that doesn't spec into essence in the atlas but purchases them through trade diminishing their achievement aspirations in your eyes? What about someone that buys eldritch invitations and Maven splinters instead of grinding them out? What about friends / guild mates & multiplayer? What about selling your Betrayal leaders? My point is that gatekeeping tradable services and multiplayer aspects can get really subjective, especially if you are going to scrutinize player achievements. If we are doing that, then SSF is the only way to really fairly judge. "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt."

" It was insane, I constantly felt like my XP was bugged this league because it seemed so slow after the expectation created by sentinel. My last character in that league dropped like 4 of the sentinel that petrified everything on the screen and juiced them up and omg it felt like suicide to set it up everytime but I was getting like 50% of a level for one discharge afterwards I did 80-92 in an hour. I miss that! Lol Its about the only time I think GGG have successfully tempted me with risk vs reward that actually felt like a reward, it was stupid to press... but why not so much to be had if you did! |

I have got 2 LV100 chars in HCSSF. When reach LV99, I just go delve. Safe and cheap way to level up, just need a little patient.
