Bye Bye POE
Bye bye POE, I quit.
I hate the direction the game is going the last few leagues. I had enough, even if it's F2P. I just can't take it anymore. So after 9 years I go and find another game that I can actually enjoy. In my vision the problems with the game are : -archnemesis -general loot drops still suck -loot pinata culling meta -monster on death effects -endless ground effects -waaaay to many ailments -monster imbalance -90%+ of the skill gems are useless noobbait -very unfriendly to new players -not enjoyable by regular joe's either -3 month nerf hammer making build guides useless -devs not responding to the massive amounts of feedback -out of copium -out of hopium [Removed by Support] Last edited by ThomasK_GGG#0000 on Sep 11, 2022, 10:36:27 AM Last bumped on Sep 23, 2022, 5:33:59 PM

I've been testing for the last few days.
(God what was I thinking) And in addition to my first post I see to other major issues : First issue = mandatory defense layers : You must have determination for a shit ton of armour. You must have grace for a ton of evasion. You must have elemental ailment immunity. You must have corrupted blood immunity. You must have spell suppression. So it appears as if you have infinite choices on passive skills and active skills. But in reality you don't! It's all a deception! Second issue = players vs. monster imbalance : Fresh out of the campaign you basically are a bum. You're walking in rags, you chaos res is -60% and you are poor as fuck. You're lucky if you can do 20K dps. So you start running T1 maps. There you meet monster who can absorb a few hundred thousand damage that take 30 secondes to kill when you can face take them. Multiply this by a factor of 2 or more if you're kiting. Often in packs of 10 to 40 monsters. Some of these monsters do more damage than you in terms of DPS and you only have 3K life. On top of that loot drops are ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS in maps. Even in the lake right after the campaign the drops are total crap for content that you can actually kill. End result : you get murderded again and again, find nothing and progress stalls. Hence in the current state the game is depressing! |

Can only partially agree with your vented rant
First Issues You list _____________________ + You must have Grace if you WANT a shitton of Evasion + You Must have Determination if you WANT a shitton of Armour This much is true, but, what exactly is wrong with having to build your defences? If you want a shitton more Energy Shield Sustain and Ammount, you also use Discipline, and yet you don't see the error in this? - Literally never have bothered with ailment immunity, and don't know why this keeps on being something people consider necessary. You want immunity to freeze? Pantheon. Immunity to burn ground / incendiary? Pantheon. Chill? Crafts. Make Shock practically irrelevant? Pantheon. Why do you need ailment immunity? I don't know, it's nice, but not necessary, nor mandatory. - You don't need corrupting blood immunity, UNLESS you want to do Sirius stress-free. I played a Toxic rain Raider that attacked wicked fast without CB till lvl 96, doing red maps from 85 onwards. Didn't need one, purchased one because I had the money for it. But it's not at all necessary. Get a bleed flask, preferablly seething, and craft Sealing on it. More than enough for literally everything, unless your reflexes fail you + Spell Suppression I am two-folds about. I like to tell myself that it's not mandatory, but god does it feel GOOD to have it anyway. 50% reduced damage taken from spells? Oh baby I love it. So I would say "No, but actually yes" _______________________________________________ The issues you talk about in the 2nd part I don't encounter. I don't die right out of the gate in maps, and I make sure I don't, as I am playing hardcore. I don't know mate, I feel like you're doing things wrong, and the game is punishing you for it accordingly. I am too lazy to go trough all your characters, but at least your _I_Hate_Archnemesis_ is poorly optimized |

It's like they are trying their hardest to get players to quit.
For sure they don't want new players or they wouldn't have made Act 1 so damn difficult for them. If they seriously think they are going to get new players and keep old ones the way they are doing things now, they are delusional. |

OP is right on all counts. You should only need uber defensive layers on uber bosses.

If you want to run the entire maps system running white maps only (even T16) they should scale linearly the way the campaign did. A white T1 map should only be marginally more difficult than Act 10. You should not have to farm act 9 and 10 just to get gear that barely makes you survive a white T1 map.
Further, yes, keep the best juiciest loot behind juiced maps. That makes perfect sense. None of the white maps system (t1-t16) though should be gated behind super uber defensive stats. Should they get harder? sure, but ... just like the campaign you should be able to outpace white map monsters by level. Put the pain behind the juice and let the average joe run white T16 maps. Stick the bosses behind yellow+ maps. This still forces players to run yellow+ maps as yellow+ at least once if the want the atlas passive point. But an average player will be happy with all the passive points thourgh mid to all yellow maps and run red maps as either white or blue. <3 - Qarni Last edited by CarnifX75#4786 on Sep 22, 2022, 11:35:30 AM

" Both your league characters are Meta builds, thats why you dont encounter these problems. Thats what this game became. You play some of 3~6 meta builds or you strugle as f*ck to get anywhere. This is boring. Last edited by luiz1220#4047 on Sep 22, 2022, 11:44:09 AM

In terms of scaling
I think the campaign should for example be ending at 60 and not 70-77 There there is still 40 levels of progression to space out across the Atlas. Right now the Atlas is so big that if you had gradual improvement you would be lvl 100 on white maps. The issue there is there needs to be improvement outside character leveling. Having Skill books be a reward option for some things might bee nice. Skill points without leveling. The tree is out of sync with the game. if you need 5000 hp and 4000 energy shield to take a hit from the Gargantual splinter chaos ..whatever then that needs to be accessible to the player. All the skill trees will be 70% the same with 30% to create a class with Every health node taken every mana node taken. Auras are almost needed and yet the mana cant support it. if you need 3 auras for defense .. there are no aura builds there are no curse blasphemy builds nobody can afford to run a non defensive aura Last edited by LewtDeezNuts#1011 on Sep 22, 2022, 3:46:02 PM
