Only Play Standard League?

I play standard most of Time and i love it
foolish mortal, only skilled players blessed by RNGesus himself can ever farm one, not you!
Other responsibilities (Job / Kids) takes precedence over gaming. Hence I play standard. Approx 25-30% of the playerbase plays standard so the size is fairly healthy.

It's not as "intensive" and "fresh" and league but as more and more leagues go past which gets incorporated into standard progression you would miss out on less content over time.
I'll play ssf standard when league sucks....so 50% of the time... about 2-3 hrs a week just to get away or veg out after work. It's quite boring once you have everything and I do have nearly everything and can build anything in SSF STD. 111 tabs stacked.

Whole point of league is zero to hero - sense of accomplishment so I like it better but let's be honest unless you're an addict we've had like 10 breach leagues. Most leagues bite if you been here awhile and i been here awhile..so thats on me just played out...

Anyways don't worry about others do. Peer pressure is for chumps/betas. Do what makes you happy/fulfilled.
Git R Dun!

if the game keeps going in the direction it's going I'll probably end up being a standard only player.
Standard is where I can build the most non-meta characters imaginable. I love it!
Sentinel had great outcomes "gear", but many leagues are just a waste of time.

If you have a job, you can`t compete with anyone in a league with 2-3 hours a day, while in Standard, especially with "Kalandra" you are missing nothing.

Make your choice depending on the league and what you are trying to accomplish.
Compete with who? The top 0.1%? 3hrs a day should be plenty to do well in a league and maybe add some more hours on the weekend. Most games especially ARPGs and MMORPGs you have to accept 2-3hrs a day is a casual pace and it's not designed for that little gameplay or else it would have richness in gameplay that of a mobile fruit game.

Standard while it's nice to not worry about any deadline just becomes dull when you have near unlimited currency and don't have to really put in any effort because it's all been done. Then again that could be appealing for some people.

For me I log into standard, see all my high lvl chars, gazillions items and currency and I just go: "So what's the point if I have it all?". Hence leagues are always popular for the majority because it's a fresh start.

2-3 hours represents about 10-15% of a day. For people that work that represents more than 50% of one's available free time (assuming 7-11 pm). Not many people can afford that time when non-gaming responsibilities gets added into the mix.

"So what's the point if I have it all?". Actually some players do enjoy this. The slow incremental upgrade to each piece of gear, trying out non-meta builds that your OP gear allows for that you might not have in league. Using currency earned through previous playthroughs to get that one shiny item you have been coveting for.
66/33% STD for me

usually start league 1-2 month late and grind out something that is not available on STD or is like 1000% too expensive or never online

grinded Mageblood this "season" with a little help from 1 legacy Melding

This. Also i just can't be arsed to do campaign + unveil and whatnot over and over again. Especially when there comes new stuff to the core game every few months. I enjoy endgame crafting and blasting maps while doing bosses from time to time. If there is an interesting league mechanic i'll go play league. Otherwise i just want to turn my head off after having to be concentrated for most of my work hours. Cause PoE can feel like work too.
