Third Party Software - Autoban in simulacrum

I'm not sure then.

I have a feeling someone has been using 3rd party tools via Geforce now and this in turn might be flagging the auto ban for people who get allocated the same VM provided when logging in.

Makes me wonder if RMT are using Geforce Now.

I'm not sure is it even possible. You can't run any macross on their PC, only chosen game. For rmt - yes, someone can use it. But then the reason for the ban would be different and and both accounts would not be banned.
And again, this does not explain why my friend who did not use anything was also banned at the same time as me.
