By the way, the father of arpgs, Diablo, did not have a lot of loot. Uniques were really rare, rares were non-existant, magic items sparsely strewn around and even white gear not all that common - and finding gear for both ring slots and the amulet slot took you several levels.

Minions do low damage -> stuff doesn't die -> stuff can do damage to minions -> minions die -> surprised picachu face.

Just like, you know, all the other archetypes.

If the minions deleted the screen in the 4s blessed rebirth window, you wouldn't even notice they die fast.

And I have to admit that the tears of minion-build players having to, for the first time, deal with the whole survival vs offense tradeoff are delicious.

Dude, there's far more players than minion players crying this league.
People aren't mad that minions got nerfed.
People are mad because they don't have alchemies and Vaal orb to progress their atlas.

Too much garbage is the problem.

If you gut the drop rates 90% and now it's just 10% shit a whole new assortment of difficulties arise.

Pre-3.19 I could get several 20-30% movespeed boots in my build. One with fire res, one with lightning res, etc.

I horde them all as useful and switch when necessary to match my current crises.

With less loot in general this is no longer possible. The more strained a build is the worse this drop gutting is.

So yeah it makes sense the Necros are crying over being gear gated. But gear gating sucks in general and nobody likes it. Hence the mad rush to spectral helix at league launch.
