This isn't about knowing monsters, when the most dangerous enemy on map (in location) isn't main boss, but "white" enemies around. I'm constantly being killed by mobs,... but I'll never get death from quest/map boss... why? because mobs dmg is rly insane. And this isn't about "extra physical damage as an element" because their own "physical dmg" is rly high also combined with archnemesis mods. (T1 white map)

A side effect of buffing monster damage for so long had made armor the only real defense.


I don't like that.

They can't buff evasion or energy shield because of how good armor is, in my opinion. Almost every person is using determination and banner, because those at high levels give you like 50%phys reduction to write mob damage.
They really aren't. The biggest issue is dots. Dots do insane damage and I am not talking about corrupting blood - it is small potatoes. The ignites this league are insane.

ES is good just with Occultist and evasion is **** after they removed dodge attack... soo only one good defence is just life + armor... and this league it feels like also this is ****...

i gave ggg the benefit of doubt. got to maps.

first legion encounter and i could barely break a legion rare shell. yeah my build is bad but it really highlights things:

1. GGG wants to make rares more meaningful and take more time to fight instead of deleting the screen. the massive drop nerf was made so that they could reward players by having rares be more lucrative to kill.
2. POE league mechanics that focus on speed are a DIRECT OPPOSITION of this philosophy. WHAT DO YOU WANT GGG? Can you make your mind up? do you want me to go zoom zoom or not?
3. sigh you know what. i m tired and my passion for this game should have eroded a long time ago.

They nerfed their defences,... soo it's for zoom zoom,... but their dmg is insane,... soo it means U should one-shot him, before he one-shot U... that's only way out. High defence/life is worthless in current state.

Yesterday, right after booting the game (so basically after work) I did an olmec sanctum via kirac. It was t13.

At the "ice" path, a pack of blue water elementals (I think 5) spawned with the echoist mod. Killed me in about 0.5 sec with cold snap spam, as I was moving toward them. I respawned, approaching more carefully. I managed to hit 1 combo before they deleted me again. And then, the remaining 2 killed me once more, before my dot killed them.

I had 6.2k energy shield, 75% cold resistance. I also had this new shield that converts 40% fire and cold dmg taken to lightning dmg (where I have 76% resistance), font of thunder.

In a t13 map with an increased damage mod, I died repeatedly to a pack of blue mobs. I rolled over each of the bosses without being even close to dying. But this pack of blue mobs were the biggest geniuses in existence and were able to consistently kill me almost immediately on showing up on the screen.

Remember when they did a change a while back, to ensure mob packs didn't use the same ability at the same time, so you didn't get nuked out of existence? We sure have come a big long circle to that previous state.
