Can we just all agree to make harvets lifeforce the new main currency?
This seems like it'd be so much easier with stack size being so high with these.
Everyone is most likely going to be farming and needing these. Bulk trading can still be done for chaos and divines if need be, no idea what the price would be, but imagine like 100 per chaos as a baseline. " I'm not sure how that would apply to the current state of the game (there are a lot of implications for current crafting methods). To me, it seems like a very good crafting base for a fresh start (POE 2. maybe) |

Yeah, gating the main trading currency behind one specific league mechanic, directly shitting on every player that doesn't like Harvest seems like a very good idea.
It goes without saying that the main trading currency needs to be something that drops from/in every possible strategy/way to play the game. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

" Not necessarily. I dropped 1 exalteds playing the game last league but still I used a lot of exalted to buy and sell. Last edited by FedeS#7818 on Aug 19, 2022, 10:01:16 AM

" I think I did. The question is, why the main trading currency needs to be something that drops from/in every possible strategy? |

" Because trading you chaos for life force instead of trading your chaos for divines makes any difference? And honestly if you're not planning on using harvest in any shape, you probably don't matter much to the economy anyways. Whether you're just buying the life force to harvest craft or farming it just to sell. It's going to be one of the biggest trade items out there. |

" Because players WILL feel forced into that path - and/or forced into more trading - extra trading steps. There's SO much cool freedom in the game now when it comes to what to play. To take away some of that freedom, even if it's only psychologically, would be a bad move. Just because players play in trade league, doesn't mean that they gladly want another step when it comes to exchanging their currencies. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

" I understand your point, but I mean... I used a lot of exalteds last league without the need of farming exalteds myself. You can always buy lifeforce with chaos the same way we always buy exalteds with chaos. |

" But what is the extra step here? Let's look at past leagues. You trade chaos for exalts. You used Exalts for expensive purchases. Are we really expecting enough Divine orbs to drop to fill the void that exalts left? I don't want to be trading a full inventory of chaos for one divine. Everyone already knows that divines are about to be much rarer than exalts ever were. So why can't we just all decide that a much more available currency that I believe had a stack size of 50k would be a much better trading medium than something with a stack size of 10, or something that's going to be 3-4 times more rare than exalts were in previous leagues? People are going to be hoarding divines. They need them for min/max crafting. So using it as a trading currency is just going to be a nightmare. So what better time to switch the common trade currency to something that's far more accessible for everyone. Even if you don't target farm it, it'll be much easier to trade for it than a divine. |
