Synthesis 2.0 ?
the new mechanic reminds me of synthesis where you had to play around with tiles to create your own area that you could run later...TBH i hated that, too much micromanagement. i hope this will be different

On the ZiggyD part of the preview, it says they took inspiration from Synth, but without the micromanagement.
A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

" i hope so. this game doesnt need more micromanagement |

Really seems like you can do zero management of the area and still run it just fine, just slightly less optimal.

" but less optimal is not worth it...to get the good stuff you will need to micro manage |

Its synthesis, but better, because there is no blue goo that eats half of your map.

I guess it doesn't really matter, but I personally loved the little mini game in Synthesis of placing differently shaped tiles to try to build out and reach a reward.
Kind of wish they had made those tiles just actual drops, you can place X amount of them in total before you run it, and removed the blue goo and the timed areas. But that's just me complaining, LoK style setups could be fun too. |

I like metagame heavy leagues like synthesis, incursion or betrayal. Glad we finally get a metagame heavy league again.
