Will GGG change "vision" direction once D4 comes out?
" I honest to god hope they stick to it, because it´s the only game in that genre that actually values people that want to learn complex things. The notion that u would need multiple hours on a daily basis to get anything done is absolutely ludacris and not true - but u need the knowledge to be effective. Unfortunately, people want stuff for free and not work for it and instead of just switching to a game where they can be as casual with their brains as they want they rather ask PoE to change. " Posts like this just confirm my poor view about the state a lot of players are in. If minor tweaks to way overpowered nodes and skills are nerfs for u that mean they KILL THE GAME (the exaggeration is honestly funny at this point) then I would love to invite you to just move on to something more up your alley. " You as well as many others fail to understand that this was a balance manifesto and not the patch nodes. |

" they didnt kill any build thats the entire point why people complain about these nerfs cuz everyone gonna play the very same builds only they gonna feel worse now nothing changed about meta builds people would be fine if they actually buffed other skills enough to shape meta but they didnt |

they killed DD but agreed as a meta shakeup its among the weakest, I'd like to share Vennto's optimism at patch notes but in my experience since they started doing manifestos they have 90% of the balance changes in them already.
All the real patch notes are likely to have is some hopefully build enabling unique buffs. |

Killed? It lost small part of its dmg that it was getting w/o any ivestment.

Probably not. Chriss leaves an impression as someone who cares about his vision/happiness more than about milking his players as much as possible and earning all the money in the world. And that's a good mindset. If you already have more than enough money and can choose the route of happiness why would you risk being miserable to earn more than you need?

" It's more nuanced than that, because it's not all just about the money. If you listen to Chris speak on this very topic in the Josh Strife Hayes interview, and Baeclast #83, he indicates that he and the senior Devs think PoE is way off course from where they would actually prefer, but this conflicts with how much the players like the current state. It's why the "Hardmode" version of PoE that is in the works has this undertone to it. That its more in-line with how many of the developers would like the game to be. They realize how difficult it is to scale back, or make significant changes, when generally speaking the game is doing well. The players get quite angry when this occurs. I suppose the TLDR is that right now players want one thing, and the Devs want another, design wise, but with the same end goal being people enjoying the product and them having a sucessful business. "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt."

" not true, standard league doesn't have any pressure to finish anything in time age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

" This IS the patch notes. |
|
" No. Its balance manifesto aka list of main things than gonna be buffed/nerfed. Its not entire thing. |
