Like a necromancer
Hi, I just played with witch and I try to play like a nekromancer, or summoner zombies and skeletons.
I have somme suggestions about it. When I walk throught the dungeons, and I past some of exiles to another dungeon, my zombies disappears. I think that this isn't really good. I thing they could disappears when I go to the city, but when I am out, somewere in dungeons... How can i defeat some boss without my skeletons or zombies? Mostly, when there is not any to kill just boss... And another. It would be fine to know how many of zombies or skeletons i have "alive". In this moment i have 4 of them and between real monsters i cant handle how much is still in fight. This is just my suggestion how to make like ,,necromancer" class better. ;) (Sorry for my english) |

I wholeheartedly agree, it seems nearly impossible to keep track of my summons between them wandering off in random directions and not having any idea how many I have up in the first place.
I think at the very least there should be a counter on the skill itself, like the counter for traps that shows how many more you can summon. Having some sort of visual indicator for allied summons would be lovely, maybe even different colors for different party member's summons. |

just having them not wander off on their own every 15 seconds would be nice.
i dont need to know how much i have up since skeletons you just spam them and zombies are easy to count. Just having a better AI would do wonders for summoners |

Hi,
i totaly agree with the need for counter on the number of summons. The idea with a simillar counter to the one that is for traps is very nice. |

it would really be nice to have a counter for summons that stay with you as long as they are alive
a better AI for them would also be nice maybe a simple reduction of the distance at which they engage targets from you and follow you (have them closer to the caster) what i also would like to see is an option to disable the marking of them (means that you cant pick them as targets anymore while it is ticked) because it kinda gets confusing with all these things on your screen at some point; which is even worse in a party IGN - SunChaos, Syldra

Playing with minions in a dungeon is very hard. zombies will randomly disapear or wander off (bad path finding?) They would need to improve on that

I just started a witch and have my first zombie. Even with just the one handsome fella I noticed he would either wander outside of my screen view, die, or wither away without much reason or warning. I'm not sure I even picked out an audio cue upon his death. I would love to try a necro oriented build, maybe zombie hordes and pestilence, I could have a lot of fun bringing DoTs and mooks to a party. Unfortunately I too see where this would become immediate chaos.
Closer following and a subtle marker like a green or gray ring at their feet would be great. |

Would also be nice to summon other things besides zombies or skeletons hm Ice giants, Fire giants, Golems, ect. (:

I also think it wouldn't be outside of the realm of possibility to make an additional third character class that fits the role of summoner, something that is a subclass of a which. Perhaps it wouldn't fit with the six "strength, dexterity, magic" thing they have going, but you could also make further subclasses of the other characters, or perhaps just add and extra primary to all the classes.
I loved the way the Necro behaved in Diablo 2, and wish they would have had it in the third. I would love to see another MMO make an additional character that's primary strength is death :) |
