Dying a lot in campaign?
I chose to quit at act 6 since the monsters were overtuned.
This was not my first campaign, but I just didn't find it fun. I since deleted my character to not waste more time - anyone else finding the campaign even more boring? You want to get it over with - not extend it by making it a chore. The end game is where the fun is.. Pff. Hopefully POE 2 will be better. Last bumped on Jun 24, 2022, 8:43:02 AM

You only start to die in Act 6 if you do not cap your resists.
After Act 5 you get -30% to all resists, combine that with a lot of ele damage in the first maps of the next act makes it really deadly. Just get all ele resists to 105% in act 5 and you wont have problems in act 6. Last edited by Zerber#2188 on Jun 21, 2022, 2:55:27 PM

Not required in previous leagues with res caps. Just imagine how difficult this game is for new players! I don't want to try hard the campaign - I just want it to end, since it is a boring mess.

Can't say anything about this league with the AN mods, because I'm not really playing, but usually I start dying on maps.
Act 6 is a bit special since you start with your newly gained -30 to all resistances, but on the other hand, act 6 is also the act when I start to use the hideout crafts to get those resistances. do hate leveling new characters and keep making less and less each league.
tbh the first 2 isn't so bad after that it starts to get old and i afk a lot or just stop for a couple days then move on :') 3.26 when?
Don't abandon us. don't turn your backs on the ones loving poe. |

Sad to hear about your negative experience with the campaign. I don't personally mind going through it once every league, and I don't have any issues. Just make sure to have capped resists and a decent amount of life and it's generally pretty easy. Capping resist is easy too, just craft the resists you are missing, its cheap.
I have a feeling PoE2 is going to be even harder, but see you then. |

" Yeah and 10 million new players might/can check out POE 2. I think a majority of them will quit after trying the campaign. GGG could learn something from DI about sucking players in. Not sure why GGG wants ROFLstomping to happen in Act 1. Maybe it is gatekeeping? Gutting Gameplay Gradually Last edited by zakalwe55#2432 on Jun 21, 2022, 5:48:42 PM

" This reflects my own experience as a lapsed Path of Exile player (I hadn't played since 2019 and decided to see if Sentinel was as 'bad' as people were saying). By act 6 SSF on a zero-MTX account, I was struggling against the monsters, overly distracted by past league features telling me to try them (Delve and Heist are particularly good examples of this 'feature creep'), exhausted by the awesome but anticlimactic Act 5 narrative, and realising that my 'build intuitively' Assassin wasn't going to get much further without serious gear upgrades i.e. trading. Act 6 is also the beginning of blatantly recycled content, which is a major comedown after Act 5's originality. It just feels like padding, but as opposed to normal filler, I know there's nothing really new after it. It's just more of the same. I'd say that for a casual player (i.e. someone who hasn't made PoE their main game in terms of dedicated time and effort), Act 6 is the last chance to 'check out' before committing to the game's real loop. After that it's a dash for the Atlas, and then 'the real game begins'. It was no effort for me to uninstall the game and play a different real game, something more respectful of my time. I wrote another book. It's better than the first one, and those who liked the first so far agree. Can't really ask for much more than that.
