PoE will not die. here's why
" Let's do older leagues then, these are far enough from rona: day 9 numbers peak percentage of launch 106410 88.5 % Betrayal (2018) 76666 68.1 % Synthesis 95294 82.3 % Legion 53906 71.9 % Blight 95778 82.5 % Metamorph Adding for easier comparison: 2021+ 123354 78.5 % Ritual 117332 75.5 % Ultimatum 64799 55.7 % Expedition 84671 57.4 % Scourge 83909 52.8 % Archnemesis 79191 60.4 % Sentinel 76428 50.2 % Lake Notice how even Synthesis, the worst league before Lake, and Blight, a league that clashed with wow classic release, still have much better player retention than post-Expedition leagues? Again, I'm not saying there's an apocalypse going on, but having significantly fewer players on day 9 of any league from the most recent 5 leagues than the game had at the end of 2018 is not growth. It's not an apocalypse either, just a downward-trending stagnation. Last edited by Xyel#0284 on Oct 25, 2022, 3:35:39 PM

The trend is really rather clear and undeniable. Just to be clear, I'll reiterate Xyel's point that it's a trend. That doesn't mean PoE will die only that there has been a rather long downward trend. We don't know what the future will hold or even whether or not the same trend is reflected in the GGG income numbers or not.
Over 430 threads discussing labyrinth problems with over 1040 posters in support (thread # 1702621) Thank you all! GGG will implement a different method for ascension in PoE2. Retired!
