I've put over 100 hours in this league. I have zero raw exalt drops, but I got my first ever mirror shard AND apothecary card...from the same map. Card came from a stacked deck I picked up, mirror shard came from a Harbinger of all things. The odds of that have to be insanely low, but here we are lol

Yeah, I think the question is less "Did they target me" and more "Do characters have an unlisted RNG mod stat".

Why would they do that?

Well, maybe they think the game is more fun if you dont find exactly 12 to 16 chaos by Act 10, and between 10 to 14 raw exalts per league consistently. That the game is more enjoyable if sometimes you get really lucky and other leagues you bust.

And also that the game is more fun if we dont all have exactly the same experience and currency.

The question - can they do this is 100% yes. They've said they do it with certain accounts.

Do they do it at a larger scale- no one here knows.



However, I tend to think that humans are generally bad at understanding probability and statistics. Especially when it happens to you.

Get cancer = god hates you. Win lotto = you were meant to.

Monkey brains dont understand math well in real world applications.

Well the "bug" in Devle, which wasnt a bug at all really, told a slightly different story. The direct loot control, as a means to combat botting, and totally legit, was completely different than what was happening. They explained it without really thinking about the implications to the players understanding of the loot control.

Upon character creation, certain delve items were being left out of that characters loot pool. So essentially some delve items (rare resonators I believe) would never drop for that character, ever. So it wanst a universal issue, the resonators were dropping for some, but not others, but it clearly exposed a fascinating side problem. Why would different characters be assigned different potential loot pools at creation? I think it was clear this was an economy control measure that was never intended to see the light of day. Reddit picked up on it right away and Chris scrambled to explain it away as a "bug", but if you believe that, well, lol you do you.

blasted through 6-7 synth amulets trying to recombinate fracture on them. fracture bases also cost me some 40-50c each, so i invested probably like 10ex into nothingness.

This rng downside is part of the intended effect.

What really doesn't help is that there's this lack of middle range value items. It's either a whole bunch of little things (that add up quite nice though) and peak drops. We miss out on the peak drops, we feel we've gotten 'nothing'.

It was either in essence or in alva league where I farmed a HH in t3 burials. I had 2 doctor cards. A whole pile of small stuff but the awesome part at that time (I felt) was that about third of the wealth came from selling uniques that ranged from like 60c to 4ex.

Could be me.

The account flagging, well, no idea. I don't think so, but on the other hand if they use it to neutralize bots I can imagine they would also make mistakes now and then - as they have with their banning.

It's possible, but such thoughts usually mean it's time for a break.
