SUPER CYCLONE SLAYER 50EX in and cant even kill metamorph or essence high Tier bosses

Hias folks!

Last league a played trapper and metamorph died in a blink of an eye.

i'm not looking for an insta kill build but i would love to at least be able to clear most of the content..

I have spent 50Ex already on this build and i die every single time im facing high Tier metamorphs (T14+) on maps and even essence bosses...

Does anyone know what im missing? Im about to quit this league since i dont have time to build another char from the very beggining...

hat looks terrible, chest is also kinda meh. replace with rare helmet + brassdome.rare chest with life+incr max life+%life on kill is decent for map sustain or you could just spec into lifetap nodes that give you %life on kill.(canibalistic rite node and also there is sword nodes and some life/armor and impale nodes around)

ditch grace and haste.(not sure if you even use them or its for vaal buff) for phys build i generally go for det+pride+precision+herald of purity+dread or war banner.try to max impale chance(clusters can help with that) and you can also max out on bleed with crimson dance, but thats for bossing.

do some eldrich currency and you can get +1 all res, you can annoint +2 max res on amulet if you dont need reservation or more dps. its a total of 8max including brassdome and also you can opt for some megalomaniacs with max res+life+dps nodes.

overall i have a pretty limited exp with cyclone tho - tried to fix one char my girlfriend had following utube guide but it just felt bad. boneshatter or sweep just feel better to me, so you can try swap skill.

evasion and blind does nothing for you imo, so i guess u are using grace after all - you can respect some skill point and save some mana.

craft crit chance on weapon?

also u are probably into negative chaos res i will advice strongly against essense monsters. metamorph i think its more crit multi, but that depends on organs you choose i guess.

Word of advice.

Don't play builds from commercial websites (not yt, but the one that posted it). Their videos are misleading, made with fancy showcase (which btw doesn't show boss damage in this case) to hook players and in general lack information. One of the reasons why people put a build together and end up dissapointed.
This format of slapping gear and links together without a PathOfBuilding link worked 4-5 years ago and even then was a noob trap.

Your gear is basic for 2022. standards, especially for Cyclone which doesn't have good base damage so it needs a lot of compensation in gear. Damage on your char is ~2 million Sirus dps with buffs. That's not enough for todays PoE.

Your best bet is to go on poe.ninja a copy someone else's Slayer. From what I see, they are mostly played with staves now. Or switch to more potent skills like Feral said.

That's why Seismic/Exsanguinate traps are META and melee as archetype is buried 6 feet under the dirt right now.

Well not so super if you struggle. I have all essence nodes and have no problem killing even 6-7 essence monsters in T16's and my build required less than half of your budget.

Also why do you think dude shown only mapping? Because Cyclone is known for its horrible single target dmg. You need insane amount of dmg for Cyclon to feel "ok" for bossing (and Metamorphs and essences now are on par with strong bosses)

Cyclone does 1/10th of the damage of Lightning Strike. Shockwave Cyclone is a complete meme build. People recommend it because of how it used to feel not because of how it performs now.

Short Answer - I think you paid too much.

During the last archnem league, I ended up running two cyclones. First I was re-leveling a jug as a zerker for potential standard use, but as it was essentially playing league starter it struggled a lot and got shelved.

I ended up running a typical cyclone slayer, but eventually stopped throwing too much into him as it was clear that investing a ton would do little to solve what would typically kill him.

I eventually ended up converting my original attempted league starter from a standard ice mage type into an EA Ballista. Too often there were things I'd have no chance of surviving face first.

Now there were a few things my cycloner was better at than my EA ballista, but most of the time it wasn't practical taking on the harder recipes in cyclone.

How that translates now is that even though the archnem mods have seen adjustments, there are plenty of combinations that end up being a deathtrap for melee, even cycloners.

To hit my 40-40 in archnem, I had to use both my EA Ballista and Cycloner to do what the other couldn't -- and the ballistas definitely saw a lot more action by the end.

and here i am with omni lightning strike champion dishing out 30 milion damage and killing t16 metamorphs in 3 seconds and never dying becuz its hard to die when you got 70k armour 70k evasion 100% spell suppresion 100% ailment avoid and molten shell and ofc the champion ascendy itself and also having 30m dps for bossing that is ofc but casually in mapping its around 10 milion they should really make omni amulet as rare as mirror

I was a victim of that channel when I started poe. It is nothing but clickbait, and the promotion of a currency selling website.

The gameplay videos never include any new league content, because it was recorded in softcore a long time ago. Calling an Abyssus slayer build tanking GOD because it has fortify.

Just stay away from that channel, it is a scam nothing more.

the gameplay videos doesnt even show what area it is and what mods the map have it is definitely a scam channel they basically advertise their build on low tier white maps and the items you need but to make it viable build you need invest hundreds of exalts and they also advertise their currency website so you buy it from them for the build they advertise
