Lowest onling over the last couple of years?
" For a while there I harboured some ambition to be the '1' when Wolcen inevitably hits its nadir, but then some bastard actually went and did it with Squeenix's latest misfire, Babylon's Fall. And THEN they announced planned updates and a 'second season' (you what?) which just goes to show how much these companies invest in and commit to the pipeline. Also, it's a pretty specific record you're talking about. Lowest concurrency X weeks after a league launch maybe? Because overall online concurrency for PoE? I've seen it in the double digits, back during beta. It was blissful. Eerie, even then. And as another poster pointed out, there have been other leagues with worse retention. I don't think 3.18 is going to set any significant records. This is, at worst, a steadily increasing downward trend, not a true plunge. Which, in some ways, is better: a plunge they could write off as an anomaly, a blip. A downward trend? That's a call to action when it comes to business. We'll see though. There are some interesting arguments that GGG don't even really care about these numbers anymore. That they've already moved well beyond the banality of deriving profits purely from support pack sales. That they no longer rely so much on that spike of returning players eager for their next fix regardless of the former league's retention. For the sake of every Exile out there, I hope not. If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.
I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period. |

Yet another repeat of the same fucking thread.
PoE is fine. This league is a carbon copy of last league with a very simplistic mechanic, no new gear or balance changes. It's no surprise that people aren't motivated to play it, especially with the flubbed rare swap. |

" I don't think POE is fine right now to be honest. Also, the league is hardly a carbon copy of last league, which was a fun one for me. Now all builds have been indirectly nerfed because every single rare and their mother take ages to kill. How the hell is the game fun right now? I think this is the biggest balance change since the start of the game and it's a terrible one. I hate it. |

" You're saying the massively buffed blues and rares as well as huge nerf to Ashes/Omni drop rate wasn't a balance change? I haven't played since opening weekend since arch nem wasn't fun last league but I had the option to skip them entirely. Maybe they're more bearable now, but why bother when the only new things they added were Uber bosses that most people still haven't even cleared the non-uber bosses. |
