NO MELEE BUFFS?

Got some insider info that they've been working on melee for the past two leagues, and it turned out it's in such a bad place it will take at least six more months to make it usable.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

Most melee attacks are just too awkward or wonky to use.
Melee is in a bad way, but almost every skill gem needs a buff. As it is right now every build needs both great items and an incredibly optimized skill tree just to function like they did before 3.15/.16/.17. The archnemesis mods on rares are going to be absolutely busted if they didn't tone them down. Every pack has a chance to have like max block now and that just sucks for clear.
because they dont care. due to constant and deliberate mistreatment melee population is so insignificant right now that it is not viable to spend money on it. they will let it rot

on the other hand.. melee fanboys are playing elden ring anyway. ggg simply cannot do it right and stopped trying long ago

suck to see fortify remaining POS it is now, along with stuns, strike skills, slams, phys spells (non-converting) etc etc

play summoner, lightning strike or trigger spell (because it is STILL best way of casting) and forget melee exists in this game

They could have released some QOL changes at least. There's some very dysfunctional skills that don't really work, but there's also some really low hanging fruit that could improve everything along the chain that they didn't implement.

I doubt I'll play much this league. I also won't buy supporter packs this league.

they just need to buff the f.. numbers

people play str-stacking ice crash, g.hammer and stuff - why? because Iron Fortress + Str.Stacking + Crown of Eyes gives so much damage that melee starts to feel 'right'

simple as that. Mathil's build of the league - DEX Spectral Throw is so good because DEX stacking gives him absurd base damage. you cannot replicate that with phys weapons

it is all about the numbers (almost, but start there)

The only way to make melee builds work in an effective way, is to stat stack with specific uniques. It's a chore to organize new concepts every single time they change stats, but it's a much more stagnant gameplay when we're all forced to get the same uniques and build in a VERY SIMILAR fashion.

Yeah, stat stacking is not what one signs up for when melee is chosen, definetly not buying stash tabs or packs, theyre ignoring melee and nerfing it to the ground even
