The future of Archnemesis ?
" Pretty sure they were always 300 which feels bad except you can get 50-100 out of a really juice delirium which is kinda hot, still plenty you'd run headlong into the mist and work your butt off only to get 6 so maybe not. I think AN had some really interesting mods and combinations going for it and some particular sets were really exciting, I was spamming uniques in gauntlet like no tommorow and that was actually really exciting. Its usability though is one of the worst leagues they've done, really poor UI/Execution on that front and honestly if I had to summarise its worse metamorph with better rewards. One of AN's biggest problems was too many players eyes glazed over at the recipe principle which is why so many posters are like I spammed the best recipe and got fuck all, there was good gambling to be had in most reward types even fractured/synthesized gear and they were much faster to run than the 20 currency mega reroll bonanzas. " I know they were 100 because that league I pushed to 40/40 and was playing to the last day I think. Of course, they also maxed at 20 waves and clusters were brand new and given the popularity of the league it was much easier to stay active to the end. Delirium now seems so lame given so much of what made it awesome got nerfed. I actually see it the other way around though, its a better metamorph with worse rewards --- but in the sense you aren't having to use specific organs and can pop without following a recipe. I still have organs sitting in standard that never saw use in their leagues because you'd get too many of some and not nearly enough of others to finish a metamorph. It can definitely take forever and a day to build out the big loot recipes and the reward can be extremely disappointing given all that goes into them, but you're also not having to store items you may or may not use in your own inventory, though I'm sure it may have been preferred by some given the micro of this league. Yep, totally over league play.

I'm missing out if people are getting even close to the AN rewards out of metamorph, a good scoop is a few fertile catalysts lol whereas I've had 5% brass dome, Arakali's fang, 4 molingers and like 80 of every regular unique out of AN in this league alone.

I dont like taking notes / consulting tables / drawing and consulting diagrams
in a game like this. I've drawn maps before, I've consulted tables. I've recorded notes. but this is the spiritual successor to d2. we consider things when we are in town. not in battle. let us run as fast as we can run during the conflict. dont slow or stop us. maybe you ask us to think and plan for the next map.... not during it. Id rather plan before an engagement than mid engagement. archnem was good for risk vs reward, but took too long to organize an plan a desired result. dont make us stop and think for very long thats not what this game is about. |

" I should have been a little more specific, was referring to Metamorph as the league mechanic vs Archnem. Don't get me wrong, things have been pretty decent for me in archnem, and already pushed past the 36 I got in metamorph. But during metamorph league, I always felt "content" in the sense that I never felt rewards were unbalanced for the risk and effort. The organs were a hassle but even then they were like a bonus to squeeze one more fight out of previous kills. In archnem, its definitely been a more rewarding league, but a lot of that came from the atlas. Given the time and effort and waiting to build the big recipes by the time you've finally gotten everything together its a bit of a letdown. Let's take shakari - yeah you can make it rain uniques but I've never remembered a time so much orange wasn't worth picking up. Part of that is economy and build popularity and all that, but when you factor in the pain of building the recipe and enough to throw in with it to make it worth using you're often disappointed. Same thing goes for Akali and I'd say innocence is the worst given how long it takes to set it up before you run it. If you wouldn't have such long dry spells on the rarer components it would be a lot more fun. Aside from my poor long-winded looting habits, one of the biggest time sinks for me was trying to decide on what to run and micromanaging that limited storage. EDIT - balanced should have read unbalanced now fixed Yep, totally over league play. Last edited by SeCKSEgai#6175 on Apr 30, 2022, 5:46:38 PM

" I agree with your whole post. This part is especially true. Even 5L uniques aren't worth but a couple of chaos! It is actually pretty funny to me. I don't think GGG would make such a mechanism permanent. Over 430 threads discussing labyrinth problems with over 1040 posters in support (thread # 1702621) Thank you all! GGG will implement a different method for ascension in PoE2. Retired!

Throw it into the trash, it is ugly, clunky and not worth the time.

I hope they junk it. The expansion was great. Archnemesis was boring.

" You're remembering wrong. They changed it to 300 very early into Delirium league. |
