The future of Archnemesis ?

Hopefully it has no future. Total waste of time. I got one huge pay off...once after doing the big recipe 4 times. All other results were chump change. Way too much time spent hoing and humming over recipes and what you have vs what's still needed too. And oh god the UI.

Archnemesis league should die of horrible death.
It's talisman mixed with new inventory slots. Having this mechanic with 10-20% spawn rate means absolutely forgettable content which won't survive "semi-strict" loot filter. Archnemsis unique mechanics should be distributed to regular bosses so that they will actually feel somewhat powerful. I represent only myself, my own thought and believes. I am individual, not a representative of the community.
I am not speaking on behalf of someone else and I don't get offended by things that have nothing to do with me. 3.13 was the golden age. |

Hopefully no future, mechanic is quite boring and adds nothing new/interesting to the game (worse version of metamorph), doesn't deserve to stay in the game.
HC balance should be separate from SC I don't care which outdated 1993 game dev philosophy this goes against. youtube/twitch.tv/DESPAIR268

Quite mediocre "mechanic" if anything at all. Let it rot in oblivion.

" i too disliked ultimatum. the arenas were ugly. it could be rewarding but ultimately meh content. that said, many people dont realize ultimatum was already incorporated into the game with exarch/eater altars. the only thing we're missing the most is the npc insulting us. as for archnemesis. i tried it a little. its a mixture of essence + expedition. archnemesis requires players to learn recipes to fully benefit from the league mechanic. its a huge lootsplosion filler league. i like complex mechanics ONLY if theyre streamlined into the game organically. as for archnemesis, i would say this. if the game conveys a mechanic sufficiently, players would not need to alt tab to check any cheat sheet. in archnemesis, you need a cheat sheet OR memorize the best recipes. to me that's not good. incursion is an example of everything being self contained in a game. an almost perfect example just that it would be perfect if players were also informed of possible rewards for killing an architect. as for league "currency", i already have a full stash of blighted maps, and keeping more. i already have a stash full of expedition logbooks, and keeping more. i already have a 3 stashes full of heist stuff, i have 2 stashes keeping metamorph organs. I REALLY dont want more league mechanics that take up stash space. i really would prefer is scourge came back rather than archnemesis [Removed by Support]

" Regardless of whether or not it gets integrated, I would strongly recommend you use up what you got now. I saw on a bit over 300 delirium splinters from delirium league thinking I'll convert them eventually, only to come back a few years later and see I need 300 just to make 1 vs the 100 they used to cost. But that aside, I wouldn't bet on seeing it integrated any time soon. Beastiary didn't go over well during its league and it was several leagues later that it came back in a much more palatable form. In archnem's case, the biggest issue is micromanaging the recipes. With all the rng, you can end up sitting on stuff for a long while, and even then with the longest to assemble recipes the reward can be lackluster given all that went into em. Now with that said, imagine having to go through a ton of maps just for it to proc only for the junk common stuff. I think I've seen less than 10 opulents the entire league, and for something that rare you'd think it be more useful. Then there are the frenzies... well basically all the stuff you need for the "good" recipes that tend to come in waves - where you get several of one but won't see other necessary components for ages. If it were to come back, I can't imagine it would be better but even worse. Yep, totally over league play.

Sorry, but a realy worst league. I made the best recipe 4 times and my profit from all of them was 2ex. Very bad...
The new items/jewels call "Forbidden Flesh/Flame" for my build costs around 120ex. The droprate is unreal. I killed the new bosses many times and i dont see any Forbidden Flesh/Flame :-/ The new skilltree is fine BUT(!) the economy at the moment is "broken light", any item is cheaper then last season. At the end, you have to grind much more to get the same profit as last league, that sucks, too much inflation. First GGG make the game slower AND then you have to farm more for the same value..i think this is a "long therm playerbase killer". Its nice to add implicit modifier on items with the new currency, but you loose influence on 4 items. The most new implicit modifiers seems to be too weak to loose influences... You have to kill maven to get all watchstones. This is too hard only to get a watchstoneslot. Casuals also like the game ;-) This mechanic is unconfortable. All already existing mechanics are better to make profit, so, i hope it doesn´t go to core...i hope the next league would be better :-) |
