I'm a new player since a few days. I am an extremely casual gamer (only play aoe2) and got sick from a journey and needed something to pass the time. I played diablo 2 when i was a kid and wanted something similar that runs on linux. PoE is perfect, very complex world with a lot of story, love it. The only problem i have is the difficulty level, it's way too easy. It's just walking around and see everything around you die.
I fiddle alot with my gear but i don't have too. I have flasks but i don't use them. I lvl up so fast i think it's a hassle to upgrade my skill tree and wait till i have a lot of points.
The boss fights are done so fast i only reallize afterwards that i killed the boss. Dominus was down in seconds and never got a good look at him.
I'm only lvl 36 or so and now in act IV but the walking is getting boring. There is no incentive to get good gear or level up or focus while you play.
I have read on the forums all sorts of exotic maps and parts of the world that are "very hard" but i worry that by the time i get there i'm a very high lvl or stumbled upon some gear that makes it easy or even worse, got bored walking and quit.
The "endgame" should not be the only fun part, getting to the endgame should be fun in itself.
Are other players experiencing the same frustrations?
I would really love to enjoy this game, everything else looks very fun and cool. Is it really getting better soon?

Get past the story first before saying it's easy champ. Wait till you lose a total of 60% to all resists and get your shit pushed in by a white mob.

Ah so you are a new player that has been playing since closed beta? So much for that logic. Also your reasons could be sus.
I can understand an experienced player going private. But a new player? I would think new players wouldn't even know to change the settings.

I've played since 1.3 and have kept my profile private since day one, aside from the occasional need to show characters for something.
I have a pretty good sense of humor. I'm not German.

POE2 should be the ruthless vision experience and POE1 should be the zoom power fantasy sandbox to capture both audiences.
I petition to return all the fun stuff that was removed or nerfed over the years back into POE1.

As much as I like to mock people complaining about how unfair the game is while profile is set to private (and have been warned by mods a couple times), I'm very confident new players get set to private.
Several threads I've seen legit brand new players asking for advice and constructive criticism and get told their account is private. Then because they are legit, apologize and make it public.
I respect absolutely no one passionately complaining but keeping their account private.
