whos idea was grasping vines in every zone and why did anyone listen to that shit?
So even the "you can not be hindered" mastery doesn't help one out of vines?

" Vines decrease movement speed. The Stampede is what you'll want to wear if you don't want to be impacted by vines since it sets your movement speed at a fixed 50%. Thanks for all the fish!

" I mean, Unstoppable does work against vines, but only down to your base movespeed. I think a lot of people misunderstand what unstoppable actually does because for the most part it's used for the "Action speed cannot be reduced below base" not the "Movement speed cannot be reduced below base". If I'm remembering right the only forms of increased action speed are tailwind, harbinger of time, & reverse chill; so for the vast majority of players they already sit on the base value which makes unstoppable feel like it's nullifying chill / temp chains etc when in reality it's absolutely not. For example: Base action speed - 100% Tailwind applied - 108% Max chill applied - 78% Unstoppable ascendancy - Back to 100% However: Base move speed - 100% Boots - 130% Alchemists Quicksilver Flask of the Cheetah - 197% Unstoppable + Leadup node MS buff - 211% (We'll consider 211% to be the move speed you are used to in maps) 10 stacks of grasping vines (80% LESS movespeed) - 42% Unstoppable ascendancy - Back to 100% --- In short, even with unstoppable it feels like your movespeed is more than halved when you get hit with a full stack of grasping vines, as opposed to action speed buffs where it's barely noticeable when you get set back to 100% while afflicted by chill or temp chains. Here's the exact wording on the ascendancy node for reference: ![]() As an aside, I also hate shit like like being plastered everywhere. Being robbed of your speed is pretty much as disgruntling as an arpg gets outside of untelegraphed one-shots. Souls along a conduit of blood, from one vessel to the next. " Thanks! I actually knew this but it's still aggravating considering what you give up to play him. Without a few nitch builds like accuracy stacking or staff melee for free fortify he's basically unused and changing this to movement and action speed can't be compromised may appeal to some....would to me as I hate all slowing effects about more than anything. I don't know about "no place" in a ARPG but should be able to mitigate it at a price like everything else. Git R Dun! Last edited by Aim_Deep#3474 on Mar 31, 2022, 9:47:17 AM

" I 100% agree, Jugg doesn't feel like he has much use these days in any of the core aspects that he used to excel in. Souls along a conduit of blood, from one vessel to the next.

Another mechanic that should be removed is Temporal Anomaly in Delirium, for 100% Melee builds it's a complete hell, it's impossible to avoid, it's very strong and renders too many times.
I reached my limit yesterday: I was playing a Delirium map, I saw an Alva and went to meet him, I killed some mobs and.... I took chil, I took Grasping vines, I took Temporal Chains, I took Temporal Anomaly..... obviously I couldn't move, and when I finally managed to get close to Alva the HH teleported me to 2 volatiles, and as I was STILL under the effect of graping vines I couldn't get away in time. It's amazing how this game is purposely annoying.... |
