I have to learn some latin grammar :)
" A wild Plummeting Ursus appears! Given how much Greek influenced Latin, it's hardly surprising that a word ending in 'is' would pluralise to 'es'. Latin fairly famously pluralises with about as much consistency from word to word as a crooked politician caught in the act, BUT there are rules. Good on you, OP, for wanting to enrich your knowledge. That's what life is all about. So here you go. This seems like it might help: https://www.dailywritingtips.com/latin-plural-endings/ ___ I always wince when I see 'appendixes' or 'vortexes' but I don't see 'appendices' and 'vortices' lasting too much longer. Fun fact: 'data' is a plural; 'datum' is the singular, but only grammar prigs really care about that one anymore. Me, I could care less. This is how language evolves. If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between. I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period. Last edited by Foreverhappychan#4626 on Feb 23, 2022, 4:00:42 PM

" Declension in Latin is actually very straight forward, because there are rules, as you mentioned, and there are very few exceptions to them. Just let's not go searching for the right plural of virus. ;) As for the Plummeting Ursus... well... today some people would probably write Urs* or somesuch indicating awareness of all genders. " Why would Nemesi be more correct? It's just not. More correct would be "nemeseis", which is the actual correct plural of the Greek "Nemesis" or "Νέμεσις". Although it's disputable whether there should be a plural of Nemesis, because she's actually a goddess and there's only one of her. Bird lover of Wraeclast

" In spanish "penes" is the plural of penis too, being "pene" the singular. |
