Why is the atlas passive tree account wide

The limitation is there for reasons, and you just have to pick what you want to do the most. Boss nodes are easily accessible on most atlas trees cause you reach the Crown on one or another side anyways.
It's quite unlikely that someone needs access to all the Uber fights at the same time cause you literally just target farm them several times without a blind swip swap between the fights. Do it's quite easy to include any fight into any mapping atlas within just a few respects.
Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

+1 At least from a new player and altoholic perspective.

Atlas being account based really took the wind out once I reached that point on an alt. So many possibilities to spec atlas to specific alts, or alts to specific mechanics. Also doesn't help that respeccing is quite tedious and pushes you towards generic paths to limit the amount of orbs or time needed to flip it.

I get that this can possibly cause economy issues for trade, however I don't see an issue with making it an option for SSF when creating a character(or reaching maps), sync Atlas(Yes or No). Furthermore I feel a good tradeoff would be that the atlas would need to be progressed on each alt if unsynced, so it is an initial time and cost investment.

Can this be considered at least for Ruthless please, where drops aren't overflowing like normal leagues - a separate atlas per char?

Thanks

An orb of unmaking costs 1 chance orb on ruthless, not 2 regrets. This is already an excessive cost reduction.

doesnt even have to be on different character
just 3 different atlas trees that you can switch like an excel sheet

This^^ would be great, im playing with some friends, and we have a group setup, meaning one of us have to sacrifice their atlas tree, and its very different than how i would setup a solo one.
Make a second account and run a character to maps. Wheelchair them along with your completions and bam, second tree.

You can simply open maps with one account or the other depending on which tree you want to use.

SSF can eat shit, but when can it not? This isn't news.
