Is eliminating First Snow a death blow for self cast Freezing Pulse?

I used to love running ci occultist with freezing pulse but I found this thread after finding out they removed first snow.
I've been playing on some old level 80 & 90 chars to try out the new tree and it feels like this is pretty much impossible to do in a new hc league. I don't really understand why some of these changes are made, and I remember them making me want to stop playing. IGN- Lachleo

Use Pinpoint, and maybe Nadir Mode as well.
(Creeping Frost is better though. It shotguns at close range so GMP is kept even for boss fights. Okay not a good idea for HC.) Last edited by jeerinho#7997 on Apr 1, 2023, 2:16:52 PM

Freezing pulse is still more than viable as self cast. Played it during the Sanctum league and reached 20kk dmg easily without any big investments.
Pinpoint is the go for both bossing and mapping. Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

Very sad reading this. FP has always been my favorite. Being back after almost 3yrs and was about to try FP again this league.
