Maven fight is making me quit POE

Just buy a carry, at this point I don't even bother with her unless I'm running a build that is good for that fight. I refuse to deal with platforming mechanics, specially those on a timer.

Me and my brother facetank maven blast from puzzle memory. Even the tier 6 one doing about 200-300 flat damage out of my 10k es. Way better to fail it so you kill maven quicker :)

My only regret is i only droped an awakened enhance out of these 175 maven writ. At least it became level 5. But i was looking for enlighten ( i need 5 ) I estimate the drop rate at 0.5%.

The fight is actually stacked against you the more you play games.

Gaming negatively impacts short term memory for random cognitive tests such as reading something then repeating it shortly after or in this case watching a pattern and repeating it shortly after.

On the other hand it has a positive impact for visual and auditory because that's what is most used in video games. We call them was telegraphed attacks and similar. Gamers see/hear and react. It becomes second nature and is a notable difference compared to non-gamers.

Most of these studies were based on the stupid violence in video games psychologists became fascinated with but some actually useful information came from it since in this case we can actually claim the Maven memory game is an Anti-Gamer mechanic.

I've played video games hardcore for 38 years. Top on the server, progression guilds, never beaten in duels, trophy winner, Diamond, Stage 100 Tetris... but Simons says will kick my ass.

I also hate it, its design is even worse than sirus'. kill her once and never touch the thing again

the point the man made was you have to keep killing her if you want the better woke gems.

I don't understand what everyones problem with maven is. Thats my bread and butter every league. Its really not that hard. Not trying to be rude but maybe your build just isnt cut out for it or youre not good at that fight.

If its allowed here, if you guys are really struggling that bad. I'm probably going to make a 20 writ run today if people need help getting voidstones.

I'll say it here, since it's Maven related: Maven's Voidstone should drop after her 10-boss challenge, not after defeating her.

When you get enough damage it becomes ok fight. Try to do your best until last stage. Then you should be able just corpse run final fight.

Maven and Sirus are the worst fights in the game. They really need to remove them from map favourite slots.

Maven is a mechanic fight and less of a dps check. ZDPSing her is completely viable and fun actually

Last league I 5-link toxic rained her on quill rain.

This league it was a 4 link SRS on absolute dog gear.


The fight is one of the few actual engaging mechanic boss fights in the game. The memory game is unique and consequential. Watching out for her beams for no healing.

Easily my favorite boss fight in the game.
