Please make loot filters editable in-game
" There are a lot of use for filters besides currency & uniques - div cards, qual gems, flasks, influenced rares of certain ilvls, crafting bases etc. With stack based currency drops since 3.16, there is another layer of complexity added. Usually during the first few days of a league we have to edit the filter multiple times, making it progressively stricter. This is really annoying to do especially because with each new league the previous filters have to be updated or discarded. Not to mention that each of the december events also needed a different filter. I still don't see any valid argument against why loot filter editing shouldn't be integrated into the game client. I'd like to play the game without having to go into a browser every few mins - whether for a trade, to edit my filter, look up some item affixes on poedb or check something in PoB. PoE is becoming too heavily reliant on external tools, this is not a good trend. Last edited by stalkingjackal#2441 on Dec 29, 2021, 4:18:45 PM

" Maybe something simple, like "minimum item's market value" would work for most cases, but we'd still need to be able to customize the filter using external tools like FilterBlade, in case we want to do specific recipes, or show specific item mods/bases. However, implementation would be challenging, because there's no way market could be queried for each item that drops. It would still need to subscribe to some generic loot filter, similar with https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/NeverSink/item-filters Last edited by 6_din_49#4066 on Dec 29, 2021, 5:38:59 PM

" You are like several years late to say "becoming", it already "became" dependant on a lot of 3rd party things, well, at least if you're playing trade. As for ingame item filter editing, it would hardly be implemented considering the amount of tinkering needed, the best bet would be to take a template like neversink, open it in that ye olde text editor of your choice and make those few corrections you need then just reload it in game. I tried this morning to redo my filter for my ongoing projects that will lead me to stay out of the leagues.
Every third party loot filter tool i tested only revolves around trade league with percieved value of items being weighted towards the economy. So by default they are biased for me because as a SSF solo player, i don't see the same values in items. Also, i did not find any possibility of having a loot filter being writen with conditional statements like searching for dex only gear. If you want to filter things for specific builds, you have to do it manually and thus having to maintain 3-5 versions of the same filter depending on the character you play with to farm for specific things. Thus, not being able to edit in game is quite problematic for me and i, once again postponed any filter editing / creation. Path of Exile is a Casino for gambling addicts.
