Whats your most disliked unique item?

For me, its prism guardian.

Every time i find an interesting build, open up, scroll through stats and then see it equiped with prism guardian it makes my blood boil for some reason XD
I really hate that item for some reason.

Next to it and half as much probably would be stat stacking items.

What's your's?

That helmet that has "ignores elemental resistances". I know it was a reference to one in D2, but it's utterly worthless.
Shackles of the Wretched. I'm sure there's some special meme build around it, but when I see it, I roll my eyes. =9[.]9=

those were pretty important for self curse temp chains in the past, there are easier methods now I think though.

as for me, some of the unique jewels like
Combustibles
hardly gives any damage... but reduced quant as well?
The Oppressor
Pretty much all of them are a joke - exspecially after underground/conquer mods.

But I'd say Tabula Rasa. Looks like ass from a fashion standpoint and no armor no nothing. I resisted it for years and wore 5 Links instead at low level

I even made a build guide once how to beat game with 3L sorta fell into it by accident by refusing to wear TABULA

But why Aim, you may ask, don't u just use some of that MTX you got and hide that fugly robe. I don't put on MTX until character deserves it. Like level 90 or so

Deplorable forever no free lunch etc
Git R Dun!

Shavronne's Wrappings. I imagine most players would whinge about uniques they either don't understand or find underwhelming in its cheap abundance, but I really dislike any item, hero or skill in any game that defines its meta for a prolonged period. Shavwraps broke the game by defying the threat of chaos damage and its only real downside was its rarity. To add insult to injury, GGG foolishly made a Diamond designed unique share the same base. It's a perfectly good unique (I loved using it for fireball builds) but because it wasn't the unique of that base everyone wanted, the diamond designed unique came to be known as a troll item. I DO know some people paid 1k USD to make 'troll' items (it's their Money, Rich or otherwise) but that wasn't the case with NuclearRaven's Infernal Mantle.

So it was a double whammy: it broke the game's balance in a reckless way people couldn't ignore, and a friend's perfectly fine designer unique was shat on in the process.

Unsurprisingly GGG have done other double ups since, although at least one was at the designer's behest -- like I said, some people wanted their uniques to mess with people.

There are a few designer uniques I dislike but I don't feel right calling them out without knowing what happened. GGG are fair game when it comes to faulty item balancing but people who threw cash at GGG when they really needed it? Chances are what they wanted and what ended up in game weren't quite the same thing. For example, the backstory of Myrmi's items was as I recall quite sad.

I'm just glad I got in early because oh boy did GGG underestimate the work involved in designing and balancing unique ideas from players. A few friends of mine waited way too long and absolutely didn't get what they wanted.

THAT ALL SAID, Rory, Erik, Carl, Rhys, and especially former Diamond designer turned dev Hrishi all went above and beyond when it came to user designed uniques.

So yeah, Shav Wraps. First of many design missteps.
If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period.
